Hooper only had a few months remaining on his contract did he not? I'm sure the fee's talked about for Hooper were close to £10m when he was linked with a move away in the January window.

I would be * if we sold him for a * amount, given how much we've wasted on dross striking talent over the past 3/4 years. Griffiths is the first guy since Hooper I could see leading the line for years to come.

7-10million I reckon, almost every club he's been at he's been excellent.

Can't really remember about Hoopers contract but I thought he had a year left. I would want more for Griffiths but I just don't know if another club would come in for him. Championship or lower prem team would pay £10m tops I think. He's worth more to us than cash so I would wait to see if we get CL and how he gets on in that. He missed a lot of chances in the EL so he has a lot to prove in Europe.

To us he is virtually worth his weight in gold. I wouldn't even talk to someone if they offered under 10 million tbh. If he shows the same level of improvement in the next year as last year I would be offering him a new extended contract in a years time as well. So value wise easily 10-15.

Shocking that purely because he plays in Scotland he'll be valued around £7m but if he played in the English championship or something and was hammering in the goals he was he would be valued at more than double that.

I would say he is worth about £5-6 million. If a team like Man City, Liverpool, or any other EPL team for that matter bid for him however, I would be wanting no less than £10m given the silly money they are willing to pay for players. I reckon there are players out there we could get for between £5-6 million that could fill the void left by Griffiths, and possibly give us a bit more. Whether I trust our scouts to find these type of strikers is a different matter of course. I wouldn't want us to sell Griffiths before we have another striker we know we can rely on to get us goals on a consistent basis.

I think Lawwell and the likes should consider minimum release clauses in the future. Putting something like £12m on him would be ideal.

A player is worth as much as the club he is at values him. Griff is our most important player no doubt about it, he scored 40 goals last year and that won us the league which is worth far more than money, so for me it would have to be between 7-10m. Gives us enough money to go buy a top draw striker and maybe bank the rest or buy a young talent. 40 goal strikers do not come about often and even with say 10m where not a certainty to replace his goals.

7-10mill but with this season market I would say we could probably get £12-15 mill as he is probably not even in his prime yet. I wouldn't sell him though not even for £15-20 million.

If we get to the groups and he gets a couple of goals some teams might take notice and come sniffing.

I reckon we would get about 6 mil for him,if he played in the English championship he would be sold for double that easy, rate him higher than McCormack

Reckon hes a 5 or 6 mil striker, but would not let him go for anything less than 8 mil.

For us right now we shouldn't sell him for any less than double figures, however I don't think teams down south would bid much more than £5 million.

It's how much would you want from an EPL club if they were bidding?
