Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers now speaking to the media: "It was an outstanding result for us.

BR: "The resilience and strength mentally we’ve built up came into effect.

BR: "We were disappointed with the goal but showed wonderful mentality to keep fighting.

BR: "Restricted their chances and scored a fantastic goal.

BR: "Only half-time but very big result for us.

BR: "Huge amount of credit to the players. Opinion was we’d do well to come back with anything other than a loss.

BR: "Got more control of the game and a wonderful goal. We know the significance of that.

BR: "Not getting too carried away and we have another game against a good side.

BR on Eoghan O'Connell: "Thought he was outstanding as a young player coming into that environment. Proud of him and the young players.

BR: "Two 19 year olds in Roberts and Tierney, they kept fighting. Eoghan’s 20, others young, and showing ability to fight.

I wouldn't go that far, big man. Just take the good result and be happy with what you have. :smiley-laughing002:

Great result for the Bhoys after a bit of a shaky first half.....nice to see that BR could get a good response from the team after his half time team talk.... decent effort from the subs too.

Big game from O'Connell, Roberts, Tierney and another magic goal from Griffiths.

BR will have an even better idea of what players he needs to improve the side...lets hope he can do some business and have the full backing of the board to do so asap.

    Hail Hail

Not really mate, great result despite the performance of those I mentioned....Brown done well, Bitton great when came on, even shudders... Lustig Did OK..Griff chased and took his chance, not his fault he got little service...happy with the 1-1...still need a complete overhaul of this squad

Ta for that. Forgot he got subbed. Hope we don't have "the big I am" type of player who believes all.his hype. Love Roberts attitude and his skills. Anyway, great result.

Dembele's sour face was the main downside

    1-1... Good result.

Fancy us to score at home, so they would need 2 goals at CP... They don't really look capable.

Especially if Kolo and Erik are back.

Good result, now let's see how they handle the 6 hour flight as well as a 7:45 KO which will be 00:45am their time.

    Another round mate.

But if we get through this one then the worst case scenario is Europa group stage, so happy days :50:

A result that arguably we wouldn't have got under Ronny we had a bit of steel about us tonight which was good to see

Ref was really poor even with my green tinted specs

I'll take that. Would rather have got a winner but not complaining. Hopefully we'll finish the job next week.

Jez man have you ever watched Celtic play away in Europe? Even in the O'Neill era of dominance we where poor on the road, in fact looking at our results away in Europe this is a Fantastic result.

Need to think about things abit more positively man :86:

Have to agree with that, he was totally switched on the whole game, as usual always trying to invent something. So glad it paid off for him in the end because it'll be great for his confidence.
