Sorry if this has been posted already, coundn't see it. This is just speculation I think. That aside, would you take him back? He said after he left Ronny refused to play him because he would not sign the contract we offered him, but the fact Ronny was playing some players on loan but playing them week in week out also. Denayer being one. Probably put in the bin, but would you want him back? Personally he showed early on, before contract issues became a monkey on his back that he was VERY decent. He did want to sign, but Ronny stopped playing him, and it got a little bit ugly.

JOHN GUIDETTI enjoyed just one season at Celtic Park on loan before heading to Spain, but he isn't ruling out a return.
Our man at Euro 2016 in Paris, Scott McDermott, spoke to Guidetti following Sweden's 1-1 draw with Republic of Ireland at the Stade de France.
Guidetti was a second-half substitute and linked up well with Zlatan Ibrahimovic for Sweden's equaliser in a match where they were second best throughout. But Guidetti, who scored eight goals in 24 league appearances at Celtic in the 2014/15 season, says he would consider a return to the club at some point in the future.

Think half the problem was us * around with a contract. Soon as he knew we weren't gonna offer him a decent contract and sign him on a bosman he took the huff, wrongly. But we should have sorted that out and seen the best out of him

Of all the strikers we have had, he is one of the better ones as far as ability is concerned.

I think he was linked with Swansea recently for big money. More than we can afford anyway.

 

IMO, anyone saying they dont want him are mad. Yes his attitude needs work, and yes he isn't the hardest working player out there who can look lethargic. But he has the ability and talent that is Celtic class. He scores goals, gets fans off their seats, and can compete in Europe. I'd take him back in a heart beat, even knowing he needs work off the pitch. Still has a likable personality, just a little bit full of himself which can be both bad and good. If this could happen, I'd say yes please!

Plus, this is a guy who left Scotland moaning that his goals weren't enough to get into his national side, and also that there were too few games.

He was asking for big money from us after we gave him a chance after years out of the game, and then whinged that he was left on the bench when his demands weren't met.
