If you can stretch it to Kelvinside it's worth it, your neighbours will be calls either Finlay or Crawford and there will be plenty of choice for organic food :50:

Tim friendly you say? Coatbridge or Airdrie will be the other end of the scale price wise but certainly Tim friendly and not far and direct trains to Bellgrove for Celtic games

Scoutston or Anniesland is a good shout to be fair or somewhere down the south side like Kings Park

Airdrie is a good place to stay...

If you're planning to be the victim of a sectarian motivated stabbing.

Ah well, maybe not one of my better suggestions but they do have a bus to Parkhead :smiley-laughing002:

Poor guy would hunt me down for life if he took me at my word.

Try Salcoats or Killwining mate :56:

Paisley is a good option. Good transport links with Glasgow and decent prices for renting.

Not made it any better with Kilwinning though to be fair lol

I stay in Stevenston so only 5 mins away from Saltcoats. It's okay but still a decent distance from Glasgow, 40 minute train

So I heard back from a job yesterday and it's looking quite likely (though not 100%) I've got it and will be starting in August. So I need to start looking at areas soon.

I'm hearing mixed things about Shawlands, that I'm better off with Cathcart. What do you think? The job is in G4 if that makes a difference.

Even the most far flung places of greater Glasgow are only 30 minutes tops from the town centre on the train.

Chap the doors of your neighbours, if they are cool then you are all set.
