A slightly off-topic question: how could the board of a club be removed, under British law? What would it take?

We would need to buy a majority. We cant even get rid of that tory and his pal who called us racists. We are in a mess.

As far as I was aware Lenny was also involved in the initial discussions with Ronny and was going to be working with him, until Lenny binned it and left the board with not much time to come up with a solution.

Our footballing budget eclipses that of the other spfl teams and that of maribor and malmo. Although they could have invested more. I know I was excited at first with the prospect of ronny as we're most on here.

This Board is everything to do with our failures. When Mark Lawwell and Dudu Dahun is majority of our recruitment alternatives thats when you are operating in detriment.

There is no Ambition at Celtic at all and we will continue to Downsize, funny really go back 15 years ago it was serious discussion to increase our capacity to 75,000!
Now if anything our Capacity is too big,48,000 would probably be fine and if we carry on going down this road,35,000.

only way to get rid of the board is to do what we did to the kelly and the whites is to starve them of money and dont buy season tickets but thats not to happen with sevco coming back next year as everyone will que up to buy a season ticket . it looks like we will get stubbs as the new manager as its the cheap option for the board :54:

Penny pinching and ultimately greed from our club's top brass is the reason we have an out of depth manager and a shell of a team from what Lenny had.

Dermot needs to spend more time at this club for a start, and if he is not interested anymore get it sold and give it to someone that does give a * !

Board 100 percent to blame for our whole predicament that we are in !

I was talking about this recently and the need for radical action to be the catalyst for change. I don't think we should be too despondent, it's a sorry state of affairs but we've risen from darker times than this. I'm not one for protests etc. but something needs to happen to end this slump.

This club means far too much to too many people to allow leeches like Lawwell to continue down the road we're going.

its shocking our major shareholder hasnt appeared at a agm in years and we keep hearing the media saying we need dermont desmond but what has he done in the last 3 years as our team gets pulled down from a champions league club to also rans in the europa league and now we have a aberdeen side who have spent under a million in transfers only 3 points behind :54:

The club as been festering for a while now.

The board should have built on the success and money of Champions League participation; lucrative player sales; and the almost unique position of having no challenge to their domestic dominance and the guaranteed crack at Champions League qualification which that brings.

Instead, they've delivered downsizing on a massive scale. We're now only a nose in front of being just another, average, * SPL club.

The board are viewed by the match-going supporters as being complicit in their criminalsation. The current chairman has described supporters and shareholders as "racists", for having the audacity to point out the fact that having a Tory peer on the board is totally at odds with the values which formed Celtic. The current chief executive has lowered expectations and standards at the club to pretty embarrassing level- all the while getting paid a cushy salary of £1 million a year. And to top things off, the majority shareholder doesn't seem to give a *!

We had the chance to pull away for a decade and we bungled it. We * up so bad and so obviously that I cant shake the thought that this was by design. I dont actually think this yet but I cant help but entertain the notion.

Indeed. I have been asking serious questions about this for a while. It stinks.
