Is his "baggage" just being angry and confrontational sometimes? Talking yourself up is hardly "baggage".

Seems far less worse than telling a Scottish guy to "* off back where you came from" because he was black, and I remember many on here who were tripping over themselves to say "ffs give him a chance we all make mistakes!".

About time we signed someone with personality. Kazim-Richards and Sviatchenko both have it.

This absolutely ridiculous signing is the final straw for me, I can't take it anymore I give up. I never thought I could feel this way but well done to those in charge particularly Liewell for completely breaking my heart. 14 different clubs in his career, turfed out of every one, never out of trouble, averages about a goal every ten games and is well known to be a complete *. 1 goal in 11 for feyenoord this season then banned for half the season, congratulations to the scouting staff for this one how in the name of f**k they could see any possible reason to sign him is completely beyond me. The only reason I can possibly see is Lawwell saw him going free and thought he might sign him and sell him again soon which would be just * typical.
And Lawell phoning the biggest Hun about Jim Whyte personally to announce it on sky sports is just absolutely embarrassing, he must think the supporters are complete mugs if they're going to be pacified with that stunt. Obviously strung out the Roberts deal until today too to to make it look like a bit marquee deadline day signing. He must think we're all completely f*****g daft!
And the worst thing is we just have to sit and accept it.

 

He has ability, as shown by the clubs he's played for. Just need to utilise it

Gotta admit I can't really get my head around this signing, hope he proves me wrong but..

 

He is a much better option off the bench than cifcti, so in that respect its an upgrade.

And I agree whole-heartedly, about time we had someone with a bit of fire in their belly and won't go hiding when things aren't going his way. As long as he keeps his head down and works hard I see no issue with the "baggage" he has.

Of course his nationality doesn't help peoples minds about him, no doubt if he was Scottish or Irish (Well for some on here if he was Irish, others....not so much) he'd be getting a lot more time to prove himself.

 

Waste of space, he'll get about as many games as Cole.

 

Thoroughly underwhelmed. Comes across as an *, poor goal scoring record, off field issues wherever he has been...don't understand it. Not a bad window overall, defender with pedigree and hot prospect winger. Would have taken that before the window but this one just doesn't make sense. Hope he proves me wrong but there's a part of me that sees an el hadj diouf joining. Cheers for a * couple of days Celtic!

I felt completely flat when we announce Ryan Christie. I felt like I'd been punched in the gut when we signed Willo Flood. But signing a player you don't rate or like is hardly reason to give up
