I'd love to see us concentrate on signing a few quality players who can go right into the team and make a difference, not a work in progress or one for the future.

I know there's a wage structure in place but surely tae * we can splash a little cash and have a better chance of getting the CL revenue ?

Probably and it may harm his career. It doesnt change the fact that he is exactly the type of center forward we need. I accept there is aspects of his game that needed work. I still viewed him as a project but he had quality, real quality.

We'll never know for sure but my hunch was, after his excellent run, he got too big for his boots on the negotiating table. (and I doubt he was ever serious about staying beyond the loan) and dressing room. He knew he had the fall back of the under 21 euros and for him, it worked out as he got a move to one of the big league's..

    I bet he's not fussed..

Humiliation after humiliation any * can see two players ain't gonna solve our European woes ,why don't we( just for a laugh)aim to have 11 quality players then develop youth or prospects after that

Yeah if you could get him playing like he did for the first couple of months of his time here. Everything else after that was average to below average pish he had clearly spat the dummy which would be my worry signing a player as temperamental as he is.

John Guidetti: I had to leave Celtic because goals scored in Scotland don't matter

Not really the words of someone who wanted to stay in scotland.

I dont think so because he was in a unique position in that we stopped negotiating with him in January and he was free to move on a bosman in the summer. Back stage politics had a big part in this.

    We need more than 2.

Striker, centre half, winger and a Wanyama type.

I find how he has managed to fly under the radar without flak bizarre.

Aye I get he had a bad injury and came back brilliantly but the Gordon of just now is a pale comparison of even last seasons.

If we have substantial funds to spend - which I very much doubt - on 2 quality players, then Deila is not the man I'd be entrusting to ensure it was spent wisely.

Sad but true although he has had his fair share of flak. I think the fact he kept us in Europe is his saving grace just now in the media's eye's..

What we need is to stop selling our best players. How can any manager build a team when he knows that our best players will be sold next year.

Get 2 great players in and they are gone next year, what's the point. We need a settled team and a gameplan.

Well it's a manager's job to know what his squad needs, but when he speaks out at something he needs he's to shut the * up?

The problem is the constantly speaking out and not actually doing well at his job. There's a time you take a deep breath, quieten down and get your head down and work.

It's probably the most frustrating thing about supporting Celtic these days.

We've lost too many good players within the last couple of years and it has made it impossible for us to become a consistent European force.

Just think how good our team would be right now had we managed to keep the likes of Wanyama, VVD and Hooper for a while longer... maybe even Denayer too. All departed in the last two years.

MON didn't have to sell the likes of Henrik when he was manager here, hence why he done so well. It sucks to see what we have become in regards to selling our best players to average English sides.
