If we're looking for a 4th choice cb I don't see why Stuart Findlay can't be given a chance when he's back from Killie

I think ideally Fabian Schär would be a perfect signing for us. 23 years old, went to Hoffenheim for £2.80m this season which would obviously create the condition that it would be in our interest to get him nearer the end of his contract which would decline. He has a lot of potential, European experience and has a lot more quality to offer than that Brandon Mechele the media was relating to us.

Berat Djimsiti who plays for Zürich, is good on the ball likes going forward he is a solid modern centre-halve. I think he is also 23.

I think any of these two with Simunovic would bring a vigorous sense of security in our defence. Under the 4-2-3-1 system having your centre-halves with good technical abilities is paramount as its encourged to create fluidity, apart from Dedryck Boyata's physical attributes he struggles with techinical situations in a poor standard where it seems he never developed this with Man City, as for Efe Ambrose....... I can't comprehend we still have him.

    Josh Meekings? Josh Meekings?

Don't know whether to laugh or cry.

I thought we supported Celtic, not Hibs.

I don't mind Efe too much as back-up. He can provide cover at centre-half, right-back and has even played at the back of midfield.

That said, I think it's probably best to cash in before his contract is up and look to replace him with someone else. I've liked the model we've been using to purchase centre-halves in recent times. Players who had great athletic ability and were comfortable bringing the ball out from the back.

A Nigerian International, first pick no less, AcoN winner.

I don't think we will have too many problems finding a buyer somehow.

I'm the same as Kieran though, I don't mind him as back up.

We don't operate in the market for known names or quantities (unless we get an SPL player). Therefore unless you're a professional scout, I doubt you'll have a suggestion!

John Souttar's going to be on our radar one would imagine. I couldn't tell you if he could cope at CL qualifying / Europa league level though.

Souttar is available on a pre contract, would be surprised if we aren't in for him, going by our current policy of signing Scottish players

Not such a silly suggestion. I think Cole is a pretty intelligent footballer and has the physique. Been done before in the last decade or so with Sutton and the great DD.
