Think he'll do alright for us ... different option in Europe ( if we get that far)
and probably puts in a better shift than scepovic... risk free signing tbh

I remember he was linked with us when he was leaving Chelsea and he said at the time that he would rather come to us and win things than go to a mid-table EPL side and earn more money, course the move to us never materialised but I was impressed that he seem to have the right attitude.

He wouldn't be playing at Upton Park.
The hammers are moving to the Olympic stadium.

Sutton rightly turned down playing for England B team as he thought he was good enough for the first team, which he was by miles. This hampered his international career. Hope Cole signs as he could be useful but he'll never be the player Sutton was for us.

Cole would be decent back up-but if he thinks he is walking into the team just think of Freddie Lumjberg!!

If he comes and only scores 5 goals but directly assists in about 15-20 (which is how I see him going) in all for it.

I don't know who I would sacrifice in midfield but I would certainly be intrigued to see a front 3 of Griffiths,Ciftci and Cole just for one game and see how it works.

I think he would be a good signing, and would be ideal for us in Europe.

My opinion of Ronny will change quite a bit if he brings this guy in - not really sure by but right now I get the feeling that he likes to play younger players to he detriment of any kind of logic or tactics - bringing in an experienced head that the strikers could learn from if nothing else would be good.

If we are moving for Carlton Cole, I hope we make a move for Ron Vlaar we badly need experience in the team

I think if he got himself fully fit, he would be our best option for Europe. We badly need someone who can get us up the park in Europe, and make the ball stick, I think he could do that.

I think he means he wouldn't be registered until the last 32 if we make it.

If we are looking at Free Agents we could have a pretty decent team

Ron Vlaar (CB) experienced CB who has played in the EPL (Aston Villa) and for Feyenoord has played 248 games scoring 13 times

Emanuel Adebayor (ST) European Experience is better than Carlton Cole would score for fun up here, downside is he has a bad attitude and will be on high wages still he has played in almost 500 games (468 to be precise) and scored 168 goals meaning he scores 1 in 2.7 games compare to Carlton Coles 4.7 return

Dwight Tiendalli (RB/LB) could be signed as a experienced back up to Tyler Blackett and Izzy

Kevin Nolan (AM/CM/SS) the ex Bolton,Newcastle and West Ham man has proven himself to be talented at every team he has played for and if I remember rightly I think he has been captain at every club he has played for and for a Attacking Mid/Central Mid he has a good scoring return, playing 535 games and scored 105 goals

Samaras (LW/SS/AM/CF) just want him back and he has a decent return having played 423 ganes scoring 111 goals

Emanuel Eboue (RB/CB/DM/RM) the ex Arsenal and Galatasary man has alot of experience in Europe which will come in handy if we get to The knockouts. He has played 388 games scoring 19 goals

Vlaar would be excellent for us. Only thing is wages but surely we could come to an agreement for a year?

He wouldn't be a bad option imho.

He was on 120k a week at Spurs. And wouldn't move or be released until they paid him the rest of his contract in full.
He's a greedy, disruptive * and i hope he stays unemployed for the rest of his days.

He was good. Very good. Was. But like all players released there is a balance between usefulness v wage demands.
There's a reason they get released.

The boat has sailed man! Let him goooooooo!

Not any better than Lustig and also injury prone lately. We'd be paying high wages for another guy keeping the physios in a job.

If these guys have had 12-15 year careers so far and they have had only a few hundred appearances.... you do the maths.
    There's a reason - they don't get played.
