what if anything happened to cifti or griff.....we need someone just in case.

even if it was just griff out we could be in trouble.

Disclaimer.....im not saying he is the answer....but better than * all.

Would much rather the other ex-west ham player on a free
    Kevin Nolan
He would stead us in Europe, the kind of experience we need in next years qualifiers

This could be a good signing. We gain another striker to add competition/cover for injuries; a big target man and our young strikers will hopefully benefit from his experience.

No harm in it. Strong, experienced and free. Short term contract as well, you would imagine.

Not a great goalscoring record but if he can bring others into play, they'll get goals. Would give us something we've lacked for a while.

Not best scoring record and what's happening with stokes

Agree we need a tall target man however not sure if he is needed between now and January window as cifti is 6foot

Not saying after Ajax game we are guaranteed to get through the qualifiers just do we really need him and what will he bring to the team that we don't already have.

We have stokes griff the and cifti if griffs gets injured we would have to rely on one of them to step up however its also a gamble bringing him in just now as he doesn't appear to be any better a goal scorer

Neither Griffiths, nor Çiftiçi are target-men. Neither Nesbitt, nor Donnelly are ready to play week in, well out in the Premiership, let alone the Europa League - and again, neither are target-men. Stokes can't play effectively as a lone striker and doesn't appear to be in Ronny's plans in any case.

I think he'd do really well.

If he played in a team that creates chances, he'll score his fair share.

He'd be worth a go considering we only have Griffiths and Ciftci. He'd not be prolific but would give us a different option.

We've goals all over the pitch. Two midfielders and a defender scored 4 of 6 goals today, plus a defender and midfielder scored vs Ajax. Cole has more to his game - he could bring others into play and he'd be tough to defend against.

His goalscoring record is poor but you'll very rarely find a 20-goal striker at teams like West Ham. He'd maybe score here due to us dominating and creating more chances.

He always gives 100% wherever he playes. Really think if he signs, he could become a cult hero for us

This has honestly got me excited a little bit. Very capable of doing a job here. Just wish we'd have signed him a couple of months ago.

as he is a free agent could he be registered for Europe or would he just be available domestically?

Either way would be good cover I suppose, not seen him play for ages.

    Think he'd do well.

His record in the EPL isn't so bad, Rosenborg didn't score a goal and he became a talisman for Malmo so no reason Cole can't come up here and do a job

You've got to factor in the conditions he's playing in as well, as someone said. He'll be playing in a side that is expected to win every game it plays and, generally, a side that's going to create a lot of chances in the attacking third. He could really thrive with the service he'd get here.

I'd expect him to hit one in three, maybe - a similar return to Samaras'. That would be no bad thing.

I'd still rather have Sammy home though. :54:
