Well, I just think to suggest that we're a 45 minute team would insinuate that we completely fall apart in the second half of every game, which doesn't happen.

Okay. We are regularly a lot better in the first half than we are the second, as evidenced by said games. Better?

It's slightly more accurate but we conceded goals in the first half v Killie, Fenerbache and Ajax.

Lots of people won't agree with me but I think the squad fitness has been pretty bad. I've noticed this since the 3-2 Malmo match.

We just cant keep hold of a lead. I have been thinking this for a while now. As soon as we score we just like to sit back and play the game out. I just hope that this recent form doesnt last long.
I just dont feel confident in this current celtic team at present. Hopefully we get back on track, if we dont I think all us fans will turn on Deila.

Totally agree. This shows the manager can't produce a good half team talk but saying that it also shows his subs and tactics in the latter of the game is frankly * and shows the opposite manager has the edge over him. He could be getting nervous at the end of the games where he doesn't wanna risk losing or gambling.

Well I thought Fenerbache only played well for a spell tonight. Does that make them a 25 minute team?

Set peices really, most of those games were ruined by goals from corners and freekicks crossed into our box. Not being out played or that.

Which has no relevance to your point.

Are we a 45 minute team or are we a team that opponents can soak up periods of pressure off easily? The 2 points aren't even remotely linked.

The fact we rode the storm early 2nd half to then go on and be the stronger finishing side proves we are not, as as is being suggested, tiring.

    Talk about semantics :smiley-laughing002:

Of the 3 examples you've quoted we were ahead in 2 at half-time and failed to win.

We have gotten into a bad habit of conceding goals at the worst times as well.

Conceding too many either side of half time and then late ones. When you are two nil up before the break the final ten minutes of that half should be completely focused on not conceding. Going into a half time break with a 2-0 lead is absolutely massive psychologically, as is scoring one right before the break to get your team back in the game...

When you are leading at half time too, the first 15 minutes of the second half, again, should be completely focused on defending that lead. * anything else, just hold the lead for that time period because it's obvious they are going to come at you. Soak it up, they will eventually begin to tire and doubt themselves, and then we can grow into the game again and put them on the back foot or score from a counter.

Correct but it's still a bit over the top, in my opinion, to call us a 45 minute team.

What happens in the dressing room at half time?? I would love to know. We came out that second half looking like wee lost boys. Not once under Ronny Deila have I seen Celtic come flying out at the 2nd half and really step it up. Not once in what, 15 months of management. Absolutely * Deila.

    Stand by this comment.

Our performance regularly nosedives after a commanding first half which we never seem to capitalise fully on and put the game out of sight.

3 points today yes and not helped by some blatant hun officials; however it's something we need to address as it's becoming a habitual problem.

You are wrong to stand by a completely false comment.

It's an opinion, it cannot be false.

Your opinion may be different, which is the whole point of a forum. I have substantiated my opinion with several reasons/examples that lead me to believe it to be true.
