    Just watching it.

First goal was nothing to do with him.

2nd goal he is caught in midfield as Dinamo are countered - dont know if it was him who gave the ball away? if it was it would be a bad one

3rd goal he stepped up and actually played the guy offside but they never flagged it, cant blame him there, awful refereeing the guy was about 2 yards offside lol

4th goal, he was at fault, tried to play the guy offside again but never managed even if he did one of his full-backs also did, he should have followed the striker

5th goal at fault again, although so is the other centre-half, both of them mixed each other up and left the guy, team also at fault as well left 2 guys to defend 2 strikers and caught out with a ball from the oppositons defence.

    Quite a horror show

Why'd we buy a striker? We have griff and Ciftci for now. We need a CB desperately ffs that's why we are gonna spend a few million on one.

Pretty worrying if he's as bad as being made out to be, when that amount of money could probably be used for a better centre half & a left back or striker. Or maybe even all three

Aye this is what i can't work out.... centre halfs are cheap

But honestly when was the last time we spent that much on a player? Don't think big pete is going to now, especially when we haven't for CL money.

What's annoying is that if we spend that much and he turns out to be bad then the board will turn around and say that's why they don't like spending large amounts on players, that's despite the fact that if they have done even a little research they'll realise that even the Croatians don't think he's worth that much.

Strange how this story is appearing now even after it came out that he won't be coming to us.

Celtic's £2.8m bid for Jozo Simunovic, Lawwell wanted a straight deal, Croatians wanted 40% sell on, Celtic's last play is 25% sell on

dont know how reliable, probably a lot of mince.

You can get good defenders for less than 6m easily.. 2.5m would get us a decent defender... Real quality strikers cost more.

We are paying 6m for a defender, but only willing to pay 1.5m on a striker, makes no sense to me tbh.

£2.8m would be nearer the mark I think, and I think we should pay it as we need a good replacement for Van Dijk, and early reports are this guy is good.

Not so sure we need another striker. I'm quite happy with Ciftci, Griffiths and Stokes. I don't mind if Scepovic goes.If Stokes goes then we will need another striker.

Celtic are reportedly set to seal a deal for Dinamo Zagreb defender Jozo Simunovic.

According to The Scottish Sun, Celtic are poised to wrap up a deal for Dinamo Zagreb defender Jozo Simunovic - which will again spark rumours over the future of Virgil van Dijk.

The Bhoys have made one signing already this weekend, with Manchester United defender Tyler Blackett joining the club on a season-long loan deal.

Even after landing Blackett, manager Ronny Deila appears keen on signing another defender, especially with The Mirror reporting that Bhoys star Virgil van Dijk is set to join Southampton in a huge £11.5m deal.

A replacement will certainly be needed if that is the case, and it seems they they are already moving in on another defender in Simunovic.

The Scottish Sun report that Celtic are on the verge of completing a deal for Simunovic, and the defender may even be in Glasgow tomorrow to finalise the deal.

The 21-year-old centre back is highly rated with Dinamo Zagreb, and he appears to be ready to leave his native Croatia in order to join Celtic before Tuesday's transfer deadline.

With Simunovic likely to be a direct replacement for Van Dijk, he certainly has a huge act to follow after the Dutchman's superb two-year stay at Celtic Park.

Yet with height, strength and great potential, Simunovic could have a great career ahead of him at Celtic - or he could even end up emulating Van Dijk and end up in the Premier League.

Celtic are closing in on a deal to sign Jozo Simunovic.

The 21-year-old has been identified to replace Virgil van Dijk but Dinamo Zagreb refused to consider a deal ahead of the Champions League play-off’s.

Despite seeing off Albanian side Skenderbeu on a 6-2 aggregate Dinamo have been back in talks with Celtic over a deal for Simunovic.

One Croatian source has claimed that an €8m deal has been agreed but the upfront figure is likely to be closer to €6m which would be the highest transfer fee paid by Celtic since Scott Brown arrived from Hibs in 2007.

Negotiations are believed to be at advanced stage with Celtic confident of completing the deal tomorrow without any last minute transfer dramas.

Simunovic has been a regular in the Dinamo defence over the last two seasons and has picked up four Croatian under-21 caps having been capped at every age group from u-16 upwards.

With van Dijk about to head for England, Simunovic will form a new look central defensive partnership with Dedryck Boyata and is pencilled in to make his Celtic debut at Aberdeen a week on Saturday.

With Tyler Blackett joining Saidy Janko and Boyata Deila is close to having a completely reshaped defence from the one that he inherited from Neil Lennon.

Speaking yesterday about the loan deal for Blackett the Celtic boss said: “Tyler will bring quality. He’s a good player, a young player and has experience playing for Manchester United. He really wanted to come and play for Celtic and he’ll be a good signing.

“He can play centre-back and left-back so we’ll see what his best position will be in September.”

Celtic are also in talks with Inverness Caley Thistle to sign Ryan Christie.

He has 52 caps for Croatia between under 14 and under 21 level, must have something about him. Also been linked to Bayern, Lyon and Galatasaray this summer.
