The bradford city blaze was just one of nine fires linked to businesses owned by
or associated with the then chairman of the club.

    Aye, strange that.

A lot of the casualties were a result of the exits being locked. People automatically ran down the stairs to get out but they were still locked, so then had to turn back. So I was told anyway.

    Horrible to watch.

    was never fully investigated.
and if you think about it, if it wasn't for the families demanding an inquiry and starting the campaign for justice, who knows if the truth about the Hillsborough disaster would have ever came out.

I remember it like yesterday too. A lot of fans that died, tried to go out via the way they they came in (through the turnstiles) but all exits were locked and they became trapped. How quick the fire spread is unbelievable, wooden construction stand with piles of rubbish underneath. Very powerful documentary.

A photographer from the Daily Express was there that day, and when news of the fire broke the office was waiting on him coming back with the photos to published. He got back to the office in a bit of a state having helped save lives instead of taking pictures. He was sacked on the spot. True story.

Think you have got me wrong on this, if it was the scousers, they wouldn't have accepted it , they would have demanded answers and made people responsible for their actions, still * though.

The man on fire is horrific, poor guy.
It seems like it would be easy to get to safety as well. Must be terrifying when something like that happens in a large crowd.

Always thought the people chanting and jumping in front of the camera were arseholes. I guess they didn't know how bad it was to get though.
