Dundalk would be the easiest and i mean no disrespect.

Any of the others will have me more worried.

Infact none of them will be easy , including Dundalk.

Dundalk would be brilliant for Celtic which means there's zero chance.

Really don't want to go to Israel TBH, would prefer Croatia or Denmark over that despite them not being well known.

Griffiths under the impression in post-match interview that we'll be home 2nd leg regardless. Is that definitely the case for seeded teams? Would be a big plus.

No. As I mentioned above, the draw is done by taking one seeded team at random and one unseeded team at random and putting both teams into a third pot, while not revealing the teams. The two teams are then shuffled and the first team drawn is the 1st leg home team. It could be either the seeded or unseeded team.

Fixture reversals happen but are very rare, especially in the Champions League (since matches can be scheduled on Tues or Weds) and in countries with fewer entrants (less chance of local city conflicts). And all have to be approved by UEFA.

hoping we avoid both zagreb and ludogerets.

dundalk would be a great draw.good wee trip over to ireland would be good.easy enough for both sets of fans to make the journey.copenhagen would be my second choice.

croatia, bulgaria, isreal.are all slogs distance wise for the team.

The only thing that's certain is that we'll get the toughest draw possible. Nothing is ever easy with us.

Looking over at Dundalk's forum, seems they genuinely believe they can take us. They say we are similar level to BATE. But they rather not play us though as that would mean we are more or less playing home twice.

Got me having a quick study of their team. No surprise I don't know any of their players as I don't follow Irish football whatsoever. They do have Stephen O'Donnell who used to play for Falkirk, then the others are basically Irish league players.

Personally don't think they be much better than a lower SPL side like Partick or Dundee. Hopefully someone with more knowledge of Irish football can fill us in

The main question is: are we better than BATE (I genuinely have no idea what BATE's level would be at the moment)?

This is quite an easy one to wish for, clearly Dundalk or this Israel mob.

The others have been in the groups have had more experience at this level, Zagreb would be the worst draw.

In many ways it shows how much we have fallen as even under Lennon I would have taken any of them and put money on going through.

Dundalk and the Israelis over 2 legs would be a catastrophe if we couldnt take them

I think we are. They were absolutely dreadful the other night. I don't think we'll see them in the Champions League again anytime soon, end of their purple patch. I'd expect us to knock out Dundalk with ease TBH.

    In terms of preference:

    1. Dundalk
    2. Copenhagen
    3. Hapoel Be'er Sheva
    4. Ludogorets Razgrad
    5. Dinamo Zagreb

Have a feeling we'll get Razgrad.

Can't understand why some want Copenhagen. I think they're the best side we can draw. 3 wins from 3 in the league so far, scoring 11 and conceding 0. They also won their first qualifying game 9-0 on aggregate and cruised past Astra 4-1.

Whoever we get will be a tough enough tie with this current squad.. Cophenhagen will be the toughest by far. Even Dundalk will be a test, very compact team good on the break and dont lose many games..The Pressure is on us whoever we get.

Dundalk are the best Irish side in a long time, possibly even better than the Shamrock team that qualified for the europa in 2011 odds. They are no mugs and probably at the level of a Ross County. Not well known but good team spirit and can punch above their weight. We should have more than enough for them if we draw them though.

Why would Copenhagen be tougher than Zagreb or Razgrad? We'd surely fare better in Denmark over Croatia/Bulgaria. Watched Copenhagen a few times last season and didn't think they were up to much at all. Not been in the CL for years either.
