Not just big games i'd say, Ronaldo doesn't get involved in any game. He still mostly plays left wing but you'll only see him once a blue moon beat a player down the wing and cut in to shoot or cross the ball in.

All he ever does is recieve the ball and pass it to someone else 5 or 10 yards from him and try and get himself into the box to score goals.

Never gets involved in any build up play at all. So unless someone puts the ball on a plate for him to score he's as useful as a guy sitting in the crowd.

At Man U you'd say he became a world class winger who was a good goalscorer - like a better version of Robben, then once at Real Madrid at the start he was still a good winger but a world class goalscorer, each season since he's got worse and worse to where now you wouldn't even call him a decent winger, as he doesnt do anything at all he just hides on the wing and is a world class goalpoacher.

He's always there against the likes of Getafe and Granada though.

Aye to score a goal but even against those teams he does nothing of note other than that.

If Real Madrid were playing us I wouldnt think "oh * Ronaldo is going to slaughter Lustig" as he's probably not even going to attempt to take Lustig on, compared to other wide left players Martial, Douglas Costa, Neymar, Payet and whoever who you know are going to cause allsorts of problems, they skin you, they come inside to get on the ball have more creativity and that about them.

Ronaldo you just need to be wary of him scoring from a set peice against you or getting free in the box for a cross coming from Bale/Carvajal or getting space to shoot at the edge of the box.

In general play you know he's not going to do anything on the ball.

Hard player to play against as you know you need to keep an eye on him at all times but you can't do that and stop his team mates so he always seems to manage to get scoring chances in every game.
