I'd go with that. Not a fan of Armstrong wide at all. If he's going to play it should be instead of Johansen.

If we don't concede then we're through which is a massive positive. Keep it tight at the back and try hit them on the counter, that's why I've went with Griffiths and Armstrong over Commons and Ciftci, expect to see both at some stage with hopefully Janko but probably Forrest.

Cannot wait for this but am going to be absolutely * bricks.

    Proven?:smiley-laughing002:

Think you'll find the majority of Celtic fans think Stokes overall performances in Europe have been terrible.

Think we'll sneak through. Don't think we've played anywhere near as well as we can so far in the four games we've played. If we do click we'll be just fine, if we don't it's a bit dodgy

This, except that he'll stick with The Cif up front. It's an ideal game for him as Ronny has already said that last season in Europe, especially away from home, we lacked a player up top who could hold up play and let others come on to him, which is one of the strengths he sees in Cif. 2-1 to them, so we go through on away goal. Craig will play a blinder and get MOM award. VVD gets booked and as its his 2nd will miss next round so we'll sell him for £10m to Everton.
    Just another day in Paradise.

Not near match fit though, would probably last 45 mins especially in that heat, plus would take away pace we need down that wing to counter attack. Would definitely put him on for last 30 mins though.

Not sure whether we should start Kris or not. What if the game goes to ET? In that heat, he'd be on his knees and no use to us at all. Same goes with Ciftci, Mulgrew, Stokes and whoever else we have that needs to improve their fitness. Yet we must start with our strongest team and nip this tie in the bud. Big headache for Ronny, indeed.

Still think we'll progress, but it'll be close.

The only thing about commons playing is that we wont have that speed on the counter which we will probably need. gms , armstrong and johanson will start and i think correctly as this id imagine wont be like scottish games where we have to unlock mass defences which commons is the best at. In that heat and with commons coming back from injury looking a bit on the heavy side it would be a risk to start him. If we are dominating play though and needing a man to get in the hole between midfield and defence to unlock them then no doubt commons should be used.

I can't wait for this one to come around. I luckily finish work at 5 and only round the corner from my house so I can shoot back in time for kick-off.

Commons links brilliantly during the speedy counters. He's the man with the touch to slide it into a running gms perectly.
