Think he's a great player and did some good stuff last night. Another step in his education and he will be a better player for it. Hasn't generally had the same impact as last year but that is to be expected as teams compensate for his qualities. Those who say he was blowing after 30 mins might want to consider the opposition and the conditions .

He will be a better player for last night. No point protecting him at this stage, he needs to learn. He has massive potential and playing against Messi and co will help him in the long run.

Think the occasion and level of opposition really got to him last night...I'd say its the 1St time he's really looked overawed

Not having a go at him...but its a steep learning curve at that level so hopefully he'll take a lot from it and perform at a higher level the next time and beyond

Tough, but valuable, experience for him last night. Really struggled at times. Needs to work on that right foot cause his lack of confidence in using it can be a big hinderence to him, especially at this level

I thought he had a great game defensively. He blocked everything that came his way. None of the goals went through him, they were all down our right as far as I remember. He even cleared one off the line when he was guarding our right post.

He had a few decent runs forward but it was tough for him finding a pass as he didn't have much to aim at and was being pressed by two players all the time.

Don't think he was as poor as people are making out. You have got to remember that he his 19 years old and was up against the best team in the world, plus he had to stop Messi of all people. Had a few good runs forward but not enough people up in support.

Really felt for the Lad last night. Forget the airshot or being caught out on a number of occasions. He was playing against THE BEST and all too often he was on his own.

He is an honest hard working and very talented Bhoy, however last night showed that if he wants to get to the very top - and I believe he will - there's work to do. Same goes for Patrick Roberts. The image I have in my mind was at the very end. Game was over and players shaking each others hands. Messi & Neymar were hugging each other and laughing - a good night's job done. KT came up behind and was going to tap Messi on the back but hesitated and stopped. It was like he was in awe of the Guys and felt uncomfortable interrupting. So sad because KT is someone special and shouldn't feel that way.

Was the very last thing I thought to myself before I turned the tele off and just went to my bed to try and forget about what happened.

The footage showed exactly what you described.
He had the same look on his face as that picture where he was a ball boy standing on the side of the pitch and his hero, Izaguirre was right in front of him - awe.

Only last night, it wasn't just awe, it was awe and complete intimidation where he was too nervous to even approach him and shake his hand.

I would be too if I saw Messi in the flesh but I ain't competing against him at the highest level of football.
Tierney is and he's not a ballboy anymore.
Yes he is only 19, but hopefully he understands that he deserves to be representing us against these world-class players and hopefully ends up thicker-skinned from it.

I saw it in the facial expressions, movements, eye contact towards the Barcelona players from a few of the Bhoys last night at the end.
    Was slightly cringe viewing tbh.

It would probably explain why we gave them so much respect.

If we are intimidated at this level then we are gonna get shafted.
    That aint the Celtic way.
More heart and self-belief for the remaining 5 games required.

MOTM for me, an all round brilliant performance, but got an assist and could have scored 2 stunners
