That's true, but at least when Forrest shoots he goes for power, unlike the pathetic powder-puff shots that Armstrong "hits".

Yeah I'd agree with you there. A bit of fight/excitement/energy all was evident tonight and over the past few games. If he can keep up this form then we have a new player in the squad :shamrock:

He's always been in my opinion our most dangerous player on form, but in the past his ' on form' performances have been once or twice a year, hopefully he starts performing more consistently now. His pace can definitely be a weapon in europe

His pace has always been a weapon in Europe. He was one of best performers in Europe last season (I realise that isn't saying much) but he got us up the park time and time again, only to be faced with Griffiths himself to aim at in a box with 4, maybe 5 defenders.

If we can continue to move and down the park as a team with as much fluidity as we have been showing so far then the whole team will benefit.

    Aye good point.

Encouraging signs from Forrest anyway, much more like it.

He's already shooting with more conviction and has a much more purposeful game to him in my opinion and more pleasing is the fact he's really trying, even defensively..

    Agree with both.

I honestly had to rub my eyes when I saw Forrest almost in a CB position clearing the ball out of the box at one point!

I have a feeling he can be every bit as influential as Raheem Sterling was in THAT campaign, and I've a feeling Rodgers will be putting extra emphasis on getting the best out of Forrest during his time here.

Neil Lennon will be sat in his Hibs trackie the night wae a hard-on watching his "wee Jamesy". :56:

I see he's curtain on to his left foot more these days. Makes him far less predictable. Also fair play for having 2 decent feet.

Agreed. I thought him and Commons were our best players in Europe last season.

Watching the 4th goal again tonight. Forrest was instrumental in the goal, great touch, pass and move and play the pass into Dembele which he eventually scored from.

    Forrest was * excellent tonight.

If he keeps this up then Paddy Roberts will have to bide his time.

Well done Wee Jimmy. This is the form we all know you had in you. That's why we were all disappointed and let down. Think that's where the attitude tag comes from. We know you can do it and you weren't putting it in. But as one of your critics, I'm loving getting proven wrong. New start Wee man.:50:

He can't be dropped just now.

I don't think Brendan is the sort of manager to remove form players.

He's also not the sort of manager to play inferior players over others.

Barca have had a multitude of options over the years that have came in and been 'on form' as soon as Messi is back from injury or Neymar or Suarez or Ronaldinho or Henry or E'too were fit they played. And rightly so.

Don't be kidded. As soon as Roberts is fit Forrest doesn't play.

Why hamper ourselves of a far better player purely because Forrest is playing better than he was?

    Same situation at the back.

As well as O'Connell has done, Erik and Toure will be the centre backs when they are fit.
