I don't mind players showing a bit of passion, but players studding their own team mates in the head is a big much.

There's a fine line but a world of difference between showing passion and losing control of your emotions. If Cifcti has reacted to a bad challenge by purposely studding his teammate in the head then it's very, very poor form.

I believe that he will come good under Ronny! We have all seen how Deila has transformed certain players like Griffiths and Rogic, and I am sure that he can do the same with Ciftci.
If he does, then we will have one * of a player on our hands. He is strong, can bully defenders and he has a good touch and eye for goal (although we have yet to see that at Celtic).
Players need time to settle, and this amount of time can vary depending on the player. Why do people fail to see that ? If he isn't scoring a hattrick on his debut then he should be sold. Nonsense!

But when will Ronny become good?
Tbh I would expect more than 2 goals from 14 appearances for our club.
Take the penalties out of this guys previous record and its *.

Yeah, I miss the days when you had to be a real stand out in the SPL if you wanted to come to Celtic. Guys like Didier Agathe, Scott Brown, Scott McDonald, Jackie McNamara, Paul Hartley and even Barry Robson was a decent signing. Now we are bringing in mid-table mediocrity. It's now sad, sad times...:54:

    Nah, Majority are sub appearances.

Motherwell recently, Qarabag home and away and Stjarnan home and away are the only games off the top of my head he's started.

Not sure if this boy will come good. I don't quite see it. He is 23 though so there is that.

It's a depressing thought having him as a long term striker option.

I don't think we will ever see a good striker at Celtic ever again for under £5 million. Was that boy Fridjonsson not brought in as a stirker? What happened to him?

In January I hope we don't touch anyone from the SPL, I can't think of a single player from outside Glasgow who would command a seven figure transfer fee.

I'm not sure we're going to bring in anyone this Christmas transfer window. I think that with the 'progression' players we have the amount required to buy immediately better would make the board recoil, especially if we're quite likely a good bit clearer in the league and our European position has been clarified one way or the other. If we qualify they'll 'show faith', if we don't they'll see no need to reinforce - i really hope I'm wrong on this one, but it's a gut feeling; maybe a single more experienced player at best.

He hasn't got that good of an eye for goal, his record at utd was pretty poor if you take out penalties.

How many were penalties? How many of those penalties did he win?

Here we go back to this 'open play' argument :smiley-laughing002:

Hate when people talk as if a penalty doesn't count as a goal in a striker's record.
