    Whats it all about anyway?

Have they all been taking bribes off TV companies, sponsors and countries wanting to host the World Cup and now it's all coming out. As theres people saying Football corruption and how its shaming the game etc but does it actually even change anything at all? I dont think people are that bothered what advertisers there are, what TV channel things are on or where World Cups are held, so nothing seems to be being affected even if they are all up to their eyes in illegal money.

Sid that myself. The righteous brigade out in full force wagging their proverbial fingers. 'Fifa is corrupt', ask them why and none of them have a clue. Fact is, not much of this affects us or England, nor Spain or Italy really. It's just old slimy businessmen lining their pockets.

Sheiks with disgusting human record rights owning Man City and yet, not an eyelid batted - but big bad fifa are morally inept. Russians such as Abromovich who robbed his country of wealth - nothing, but Sepp Blatter is a wrong'un.

    Laughable. :smiley-laughing002:

Just read a great article about Blatter antics. too bad it is in Dutch, but Blatter and the Fifa are rotten to the core. But so is football in general. Money, money and more money. * sheiks, Abramovich, Russians and Blatter. :icon_mrgreen:

They're corrupt cause rich people in Qatar paid them a * fortune to give the WC to a country which has no footballing history, no stadiums, awful weather for football and a history of human rights abuses. Don't see how you can say people aren't bothered where World Cups are held? If Scotland qualified in 2022 for the firs t time in decades, do you think Scottish fans would be delighted about going to a place like Qatar for the tournament?? When it should be somewhere like England/America?

Hah, tells us Qatar has no history with football and yet say's it should be played in America. :56:

Seriously but mate, its coming out that France paid them too. So it isn't just Qatar or African nations - it was widespread.

Nobody has a right to football - it should be spread worldwide - if Qatar want to get into it, good for them.

People need to quit it with the mock outrage and fabled morals I don't here the outcry for Sheik Mansour to be punted. This despite him and his family's terrible human rights record.

    They'll all be at it.

Even England, Beckham and Prince William were the two main guys when they bid for the World Cup, could only imagine them vote for us and you can hang about with Beckham and Prince William, William might even contact his granny so yous can all stay in the palace during the World Cup etc etc trying to butter * up with the rich and famous

Chuck Blazer sounds like someone who should be reporting the story rather than being the story. "Chuck Blazer reporting live for CNN". The way it's going it will be more shocking to hear about a FIFA representative that hasn't been taking bungs.

Read the comments - this is why people hate Britain!

People saying Africa and Asia have contributed nothing to football. Forget that they contribute many footballers and without Asia, England would lose about 30% of its income ffs. :smiley-laughing002:

They want Brazil, England, Netherlands, Germany and co to make more of the decisions.....

Exactly as I thought people talk about corruption but want to replace it with corruption, benefiting the big and powerful nations.

It is weird to see people on The Guardian website arguing for the reintroduction of a Victorian style voting system. Were you can only vote if you own X amount of property.

"I don't think football would be any poorer if Bahrain, Lesotho, Bangladesh and Andorra were completely excluded from all FIFA decision making."

Thank * the UK and European FA's will never control FIFA again when that is the prevailing attitude.

It also funny to see these people complaining of slavery abroad when European clubs are happy to partake in human trafficking, buying up African academes to side step rules about transfers of under age players.
