In what order would you rank our last 4 managers in order of preference?

    1. Martin O'Neill. I just remember the O'Neill era as a very happy time. So many great performances and memories.

    2. Neil Lennon. I like Lennon more than O'Neill as an individual but his teams weren't as good as Martin O'Neill's. Seeing him lift his first league title as manager after all the * he had to endure from 'them' was a truly special and emotional moment though.

    3. Ronny Deila. Seems like a thoroughly decent chap and hopefully he can build something special here.

    4. Gordon Strachan. Didn't enjoy his brand of football and never really warmed to him as a person either. Grateful to him for the trophies and for bringing Boruc here but that's about it for me.

I don't know how anyone can put Stachan above O'Neill first of all. People go on about our spending but we NEEDED to spend in order to compete with the Rangers side from back then, it was as much a necessity when Strachan took over. Though I do appreciate the job he did, I agree with Marky the brand of football didn't really inspire like the other three managers did at various times.

    I'd go 1. O'Neill 2. Lennon 3. Strachan and 4. Deila only because it's Deila's first season.

So far, but Ronny has plenty of time to climb the list depending on what he achieves here.

Early days for Ronny, Strachan and Lennon got us to last 16, MON was the best Celtic team I've seen but he had a lot of money compared to the other 3. Wouldn't be surprised at all if Ronny becomes a legend with us given time and a bit better support financially

If preference is who I'd have in charge of the club tomorrow:

    Deila, O'Neill, Lennon, then Strachan.

If preference is how successful I thought they were and have been:

    O'Neill, Strachan, Lennon, then Deila.

It's a strange question because if I were given a choice of having Lennon or Deila in charge of the club tomorrow, I'd opt for Deila but Lennon was obviously much more successful than Deila's been and had to deal with so much more off the field.

Pretty much echoes my thoughts exactly, though I really do like Strachan as a person. He did begin to grind on me when he'd insist we were excellent after edgy 2-1 wins away from home in the last minute. Lennon did a lot of that too, saying the team and players were 'World Class'.

Also, I have to say that although I like Ronny Deila, I'm not one of an increasing number who seem to think he has the midas touch.

    Right now it would be

    O'Neil
    Strachan
    Lennon
    Deila

In terms of achievement at the club and having a stronger challenge then it would be that order. However it's a hard question to answer right now and a bit unfair on Deila as he has only been here a year. In a few seasons I can guarantee Deila will probably be 2nd in that list.

The reason O'Neil is and probably always will be at the top is not entirely down to him as a manager but more the whole nostalgia of that time in our history. We had the best player in our history, for me, in Larsson, more often than not showed up our closest rivals even though they still had strong squads and regularly competed well in Europe. Even if we underachieved in the Champions League, which I think we did. It was also the first generation I can remember vividly as a Celtic fan being in my late teens and it is the generation and period which I will always associate as the time when I really began to gain a huge interest in Celtic.

I've never took to a manager like I have with Ronny before id say hes my favourite ever football manager never mind just Celtic, I could listen to him talk for days.

Strachan second for me as I loved him also and O'Neill in third, i never really took to Lennon as a manager and there's a lot of stuff he done which really annoyed me so he's comfortably fourth on my list.
