didnt know the guy but we had a mutual friend. My celtic pal put up a post only 4 days ago about the foodbank collection, i commented saying how great our support is and this guy liked the photo. Seen today that he's dead. I never knew him so i'm not upset other than obviously the sad fact that a guy in his 20s has died. I was more shocked that this is a man who was at the game the other night and then suddenly gone

Robin Williams dying was a gutter as I genuinely loved him as an actor. Nobody has really affected me though.

Not normally all that effected by celebs dying, but I was particularly saddened by Rik Mayalls death.

Probably because he made me laugh so much over the years.

Tommy Burns was certainly a shock for me. I knew he had skin cancer but wasn't aware it was terminal. I remember looking at teletext and seeing it as breaking news on a sunny May morning...

Phil O'Donnell was a tragedy as well. I remember being in a car on the way back from paintballing with a few friends, loading up BBC News on my phone and reading that he collapsed during the game. When I finally got home the news was that he was gone...

No one really, not on the the scale of close family members. I've felt really bad about some deaths, Tommy Burns most notably, but I got over it pretty quickly.

There was an actor died within the last year and it was posted on here and it shocked me. I'm ashamed to say I don't remember who it was though.

You can't feel that intense loss with a stranger.

Layne Staley, singer in Alice in Chains. I was never a big fan of the band but he was a brilliant singer. The song 'Would' had a huge impact on me and to this day I'd say it's one of my all time favourite songs. The way I interpreted the lyrics it was about battling drug addiction and I lost my older brother to drugs. The lyrics hit me right in the heart.

Philip Seymour Hoffman, one of the finest actor I've ever seen. Pure genious. I was gutted by his death, not only because he was a brilliant actor, but because he left weens behind.

I have huge respect for anyone who's struggled to break free from drug addiction. It warms my heart to know there are people (in Ireland for an instance) willing to fight against the drug dealers. :shamrock:
