I disagree we may have done the 10 by now with him leading us. Letting them mutants sneak back in during Strachans last year was a disaster for us. Mostly our fault for not signing Flethcher but with JFK in place of McManus i dont think we would have dropped the same amount of points and would have won the title that year.

They would then have hit the rocks sooner. Hahaha now that i think about it Tony Mowbray could still have been our manager!!

It was a real tragedy the way his career as a professional footballer was brought to a sudden stop. The saddest thing about Kennedy , because his career was so short we can have no idea if he were to become one of our all time greats

When i remember him coming into the team he was still a teenager so playing him even earlier than that may have wreaked him.

I definitely remember him being our first choice in Martins last year as well

Sorry but did barca not create chance after chance and marshall just stopped them time after time. Never heard Kennedy mentioned in relation to the match. Buy marshall that night was best goalkeeping performance ever by a celtic keeper until that point.

It was backs to the wall all night and Marshall was unbelievable (best gk performance I've ever seen) . That's not to say the defence didn't play there part as it did, and big Kennedy was quality..

My father still hates it when celtic players get called up was happy to see GMS and Armstrong get left out yesterday. Uses Kennedy as his only reason why.

The amount of last ditch tackles Kennedy made that night to stop Barca cutting us down the middle went a long way to helping Marshall out. If it wasn't for that Marshall would most certainly have been beaten at some point.

If he's in charge of set pieces, best get to work on our corners then

the guy definitely has something about him, apart from his promise as a player, as a coach the lads at the academy thought highly of him and he's is rated as a coach/man manager ...watch this space !

You beat me to it, for one we have a so called finisher taking (stokes) taking corners on one side. Then we have a prolific scorer (commons) taking them from the other side!!!!!! The net result,,, a ball straight to the keeper. If he is in charge of " set pieces" how the * are our set pieces * and don't get me started on penalties !

Aye right because Commons or Stokes are the main set piece threats ahead of Van Dijk, Denayer, Biton...:31::31: It's like suggesting Aguero is the main corner threat for Man City.

I'd always have Commons in the box though, one of those players who the ball falls too, he knows where the net is.

I'm pretty sure Sean was referring to our defending at set-pieces anyway, something I for one have definitely noticed a big improvement in. Also, our two centre halves have been banging them in all season, almost all of those goals coming from set pieces?

Johansen and Armstrong should be on the corners when they are on the park.

Stokes' corners are * awful. I watched a Celtic TV two footed corner challenge and Stokes was chronic. :smiley-laughing002:
