To be honest, the average football fan, when the team that they love is heading towards an unexpected defeat, is not going to be thinking back to how well the team have been playing up until this point.

In the heat of the moment, booing is probably the best way to express dissatisfaction and disappointment with the performance on that day, not the efforts of the previous weeks and months.

Time to start panicking. Our team doesn't have the bottle to go on and win this title. They had the chance to push 9pts ahead tonight but the occasion was too much for them. Aberdeen will smell blood in the water and go on a long unbeaten run now, fuelled by the confidence they gain from seeing us lose tonight. The title is slipping away and Ronny Deila's position is precarious. Hopefully Peter Lawwell has Craig Levein on speed dial as we may need him to salvage things with his solid, no nonsense 4-6-0 formation. We'd have definitely got at least a 0-0 draw tonight if we had played that way.

Do you understand at all the effort we have put in over the last few weeks.

Every team has the odd slip up now and again, they certainly don't deserve to be booed for every little mistake.

Trying not to be too critical as we have played well recently, but if you take the plaudits you must also take the criticism. That was absolutely * dreadful tonight.

Our midfield was shambolic at times, second to everything and our final ball was abysmal.

    Livid doesn't come close.

On a seperate note, how can Calum Murray justify only adding on 2 mins when there was 6 substitutions (min 30 secs each sub the rules state) and he continually looked at his watch when St. Johnstone were time-wasting?

The fans are always quick to show their appreciation when the team turns in a good performance against better opposition (eg, most European games), so I don't see then why they don't have a right to show their disappointment when we lose a game that we should have won, taking into consideration the size, depth and quality of our squad in comparison to the rest of the teams in the country.

One off game in months doesnt warrant booing the team in my opinion. Yea it wasnt a great performance but St J played well and defended in numbers, their keeper also had one of those games that he wont have again for a long time.

If it is then they're the most sensitive players in the history of football.

I doubt they're at home crying themselves to sleep ffs.

First domestic loss in 2015. Performance was poor but it didn't warrant booing.

Some fans need to get a grip.

We've played so many games and gave our all each game. We're tired and lose one and they're going mental..
