Wouldn't say so, we kept underhitting and overhittin passes and our first touch was awful. Can't argue with 4 goals but we were quite *, if we played well it would have been an absolute thumping.

 

Scored three second half and won 4-0 is that not a pumping?

 

Job done. Potential banana skin negotiated comfortably. League all but wrapped up. Really happy.

 

I'm talking the 9-0 sorta pumping we dished out a few seasons ago. The amount of times we got through and * up the final ball was mental. Was a scrappy game, where we never fully got into our rythm but we didn't really need to because we smashed 4 into them anyway.

 

Any highlights Bhoys???

HAPPY F$*KING DAYS...I didn't get to watch the match and only seen the result just now, absolutely brilliant, I thought Aberdeen would have scored at least but they didn't Bye Bye Dons :bbpd:

 

Thought our passing was much like that all game, was more of a stroll than a good performance.

 

Pitch looked very heavy too.

Thought Aberdeen looked up for it in the first half but they seemed to fall away as it went on.

Can't complain about the score line, just a shame it wasn't more. Especially after the 3 v 1 break.

Mackay-Steven was fantastic throughout, great signing.

While Aberdeen were the more prominent side 1st half, it was far from impressive display by them. They played long and into the corners,which gave them posession deep in our half. If that's impressive football then fine. It's effective but not impressive in my opinion. Set-Pieces and crosses into the box, which I felt we defended very well. It worked for 30 odd minutes but they never took/ we didn't allow them the chances. The wee half chances, I would class the McGinn effort which Gordon saved as a half chance. With probably the best chance the header over the bar (can't remember who it was ,Jack I think after McClean knocked into the box)from the corner which they had spent time on.

We never played 1st half, sloppy passes and all round scrappy display yet still had enough about us to take the lead. Denayer with a good header and saved the ref from having to make a decision.

2nd half we stepped it up and Aberdeen had no answer to our play, physically they couldn't match us anymore. They couldn't keep the ball. The ball into the corners, Van Dijik and Denayer snuffed it out. Unlike the 1st half they didn't have the territory to build on. We took our goals well and should have had a few more as we sliced them open on numerous occasions.

I will be critical of our players at this point. On 3 occasions in the 2nd half, we had overloads against them. Through poor play we managed to * them up, Guidetti a prominent culprit. At that level and levels below, it's unacceptable. These types of chances should result in goals.

McCann said the result paints a different picture of the game. For me it doesn't. Again while they had pressure, it wasn't overly worrying.

Final point about the game, why do our fans continually get on the back of players. Ok, they don't like Ambrose. Why get on the guys back?? Its hardly going to improve his confidence. In saying that I thought Ambrose was pretty tidy in his play(lovely wee meg in the 2nd half). At one point Matthews was taking a thrown in and had words with someone in the main stand. 30 minutes into the game and folk are panicking,especially when the team have been playing well for weeks now.

Final moan. SKY Sports and its shambolic coverage of Scottish Football. Fans of both teams who watched at home were treated to constant reminders that Liverpool and Man City were playing on the other side. 2nd rate coverage after the game as well. For what??? To hear * ramble on about a game which still hasn't even kicked off as I type this.
