Is it possible for anyone to have an opinion, not a bad opinion, just a non-glowing one of Celtic and we don't hate them? Think of the list of people that we hate it's staggering. Who actually do we like, anyone?

I like most pundits to be honest. But Sutton has taken negativity to another level.

Don't give a * about Sutton's negative comments towards us to be honest, it's him picking on Ronny that does my * in. You can actually hear the bitterness in his voice.

I love neil lennon as much as the next guy look for bolton results every week, but you have elevated him to somewhat of a *. He had 1 good season in Europe out of 4, he blew the league his first season and if he wasn't up against some one as inept as super Sally we'd have lost that league that year to most likely resulting in lennon being sacked. Next season we had the wonder of beating barca and getting to the last sixteen but our league form suffered and if aberdeen had the form they have this season would have been real close to celtic that season. And he never won a treble when he really should have. As for blowing millions there was loads of duds to many to mention especially first season. I know lennon was one of us and you get misty eyed when thinking of him but need a bit of perspective.

Our football is in decline and it doesn't look like stopping ( all the wanks that run our game wouldn't get a job washing my toilet) so Sutton and that other Fud need to put a 3-3 draw with Inter into perspective and we should celebrate. I for one didn't see us celebrating anything in Europe for years to come so we should make hay while the sun shines until the likes of the mighty Burnley take our best players for large wages.
That my friends is the route of our problem 5 Fucken billion pounds spread around clubs that will draw our players South.
We have new lows coming due to this.....and we can do * all, even with 60,000 a week we can't compete with the Chamionship ££££££
    So party while we can!

Aye he has to realise times have changed since he was here. More of a selling attitude, less money, and other factors mean we have to deal with what we have. The scale of our comeback vs Inter is huge in our current era

This thread should go into overdrive again tomorrow night(did it ever stop?) because if we defend high and try to press Inter all over the pitch then we will get shredded at the back again. Which is the very thing Chris Sutton has been most critical of during our European run this season.

Rightly so too. I'll be crticising Ronny Deila as well if he's naive enough to go to the San Siro and try to play the same way we do when we go away to Ross County or St. Mirren.

To be honest I don't think he should if it's in the manner of the 3-3 last week, players need to sort out the individual mistakes.

Well I might have to let him off if that happens. :icon_mrgreen:

That's the thing though, our defenders aren't really good enough to play wide open against a team like Inter. They will make mistakes because they'll find themselves more often in one on one type situations where a mistake can be fatal. That pressure in itself brings about mistakes.

Even as a disciple of playing football "the Celtic way" I do think there are times where you have to be more pragmatic and playing away to a team like Inter is certainly one of those in my opinion.

We aren't good enough to sit back against a team with the quality of Inter going forward. We need to trust players like Craig Gordon won't do what he done last week, the way against Inter is to expose there centre backs, they're extremely shaky and they are very nervous.

We can exploit that and we need to. If we were playing somebody like Chelsea it would be suicide but against Inter we are just letting them play to there strengths against our weaknesses if we do that. High pressure game, don't give them a minute and expose there centre backs.

It's the way to do it tomorrow, all we need is our experienced players like Izzy to actually clear that ball or Craig Gordon not too * up. That's not out of the question.

I would like to see Brown and Bitton both act as true holding midfielders for this game and for the full backs to play more conservatively. We need to offer our defence more protection in this leg. Our game plan to begin with must be to not concede while trying to nick one on the counter. If we get to half time with no score then they may sit back in the second half. This will play right into our hands and we can then go for broke. If they score early on it's game over.

I agree to an extent and i would play both Thumb and GMS from the start. Pace and trickery is the name of the game here. Like i said in my last post though not conceding should be our gameplan while trying to nick one at the other end. If we are hitting the 60 mark nil nil then they will sit back and we can bring on Commons and let him do the business from outside the box.

I don't think we'll see a repeat of last week's performance from Craig Gordon. He hadn't made a mistake all season, it was just unfortunate he had to choose last Thursday to have a nightmare. I do worry that our defence will just collectively have a nightmare though.

I disagree with you about how to approach this game. If we play a high line and press the game then Inter's attacking players will have a field day in the spaces we leave between our players. Players like Kovacic and Shaqiri are intelligent enough to really hurt us if we leave them too much space. We've already been cut to ribbons this season in Europe by teams who don't have attacking players half as good as what Inter have.

We're not going to go over there and win this game 2-3 or 3-4. So the only results we can aim for are 0-1 or 1-2. 0-1 being the more likely outcome. To get that type of result we have to keep it tight at the back. Inter lack pace at the back so sit off them, drag them forward and further away from their goal then try and play balls in behind their centre backs for our forward to run on to. This is where the pace of Leigh Griffiths could potentially come in handy.

If we go over there and try to take the game to Inter we will get pumped. I almost guarantee it.

We have got to play to our strengths and sitting back isn't one of them.

We need to outscore them to go through .

High tempo fast football is whats required, they couldn't cope with it the first game and wont be able to cope with it in the 2nd.

If we win then McFannyman and that boring * 'Celtic man' will say it's expected as inter are *..

It's alright though, big Sutton's paid to be controversial and doesn't care who he attacks, he'll call it like he see's it, unless it's one of his pals..

I'll tell you right now, my heart couldn't take a 4-4 I don't think. Last week was heart attack material.
