    Especially if you compare it to the one from the summer which ILTC posted. Although more people have yet to take this one...still, it's miles apart.

    I don't think commitment should come into it, should have said just to judge them purely on their ability. A few folk being swayed by the fact VVD was said to have been wanting a move.

    Fact is he is still here and if he goes in the summer will have had 2 seasons the same as Vic.

    You seriously think defenders like him can be found anywhere? Jesus. He's not just a defender either by the way.

    Your right, you have exaggerated there. Big time. Wanyama is quality but is by no means the finished article, I've watched him numerous amounts this season and last and he still looks very raw at times.

    I haven't really seen vvd bested when he has started
    in the right frame of mind,ie when he has looked interested
    & is playing at 100%

    Wanyama for me! Even at home to Juve when we lost 3-0 I thought he looked as good as anyone in their midfield

    I think that goal against Barca means pretty much everyone will always hold him in high regard.

    Wanyama was imperious on his day, however I believe if Van Dijk applies himself then he was the ability to go further in the game. Very surprised a club down south has not taken a gamble on him at £8-10million.

    Kind of hard to compare since all of Virgil's strengths I would consider Wanyamas weaknesses and vice-versa.

    I think there are comparisons to be made though, as I have listed before.

    Main point of this though is to see who people would prefer in the side on top form, as they are both players who are a step above of what is/was at the club.

    Virgil moves up field be it on one of his runs or he remains there in attack leaving whoever it may be in defence to do two player's jobs.

    Wanyama was * at shooting bar the odd spectacular.

    Jumping- Just curious as to why you put that, I wouldn't say it's a noticeable weakness of his.

    I also think Vic had a tendency to lose concentration now and again as well, sometimes dilly dallied on the ball. Still does it at Southampton actually when I watch him.
