I actually think that's the best I've seen him for a while yesterday. Some decent link up play, movement and touches. That miss though........Soon as I realised it was him, I was expecting it:rolleyes:

Still maybe that say's more about how pish he's been, if i thought he was better than decent yesterday. Still an awful touch at time's..

    Still want him gone..

He was a wee bit better in the second half but just about every time he got the ball in the first half he gave it away within a couple of seconds. His first touch is terrible at times.

I'm gutted to be honest. Really expected a lot more from him.

Just a really unlikeable player for me. Doesn't have anything I like and associate with a good Celtic midfielder..

His touch is unbelievably poor at time's for a pro footballer. Brendan must look on in astonishment if he's failing to trap a ball like that in training..

I think he may have the weakest shot of any professional footballer I've ever seen.

    Woeful.

He's scored some good goals, aye.

He still has the weakest pass back shot I've seen from a Celtic midfielder.

This. His crossing from corners is brutal

This is the problem with Armstrong, and i feel like I'm constantly digging him out, but......

It'd be fine if he only had 1 or 2 weaknesses to work on, but he has far too many. Brendan is well known for improving player's but how can you expect or even want to persist in making a player better at the basics of
    Controlling a football
    Striking a ball
    Crossing a ball
    Passing a ball
    Tackling
Having the right attitude and mentality
When you can go out and find plenty of player's who already have all of those qualities?

Maybe Armstrong already knows football is not for him. He will just turn to his law degree.

What's the chances off us recouping the....

    £1.75M for Armstrong

    £1.5M for Boyata

    £2M for Johansen

    £1.5M for Ciftci

    ????

Slim to none I would imagine.

You'd recoup the fees for Johansen and Boyata no bother at all.

    The other 2 however...

I reckon a championship team would pay close to that for Armstrong. Burnley bid and wanted him when we were in for him..

Boyata, no sure. Maybe though, been called up to the Belgian squad so....

Johansen, easily get 2 mil. Problem is his contract is running down. We'd get at least double if he was on a longer deal..

Ciftci. 1.5. Can't see it. But Wigan were seriously bidding for him at same time as us actually so at that level, probably..

I wouldn't say no chance to getting most of our wedge back off of all. Actually when thinking about it, I could..

Think we paid 1.6m for gms and Stuart Armstrong - and we had 250k rejected for gms so realistically Armstrong only cost about 1.2-1.3m. I reckon we could probably get about 500k being realistic for him, championship team would buy him.

We have too many options in midfield right now, going to a Championship club could have benefited him, similar to McGregor's loan.

Shut us all up today. Right after coming on made an impact, and scored himself a nice goal to help his confidence back up. This is the Stuart Armstrong who we need to see more often. Lets hope he can kick off after today :50:

Was very impressed with him, no coincidence that he's playing in his best position and performed like that.
