Its garbage when you think of the amount of stuff they could do or characters but they repeat the same characters all the time doing the same stuff like MacAvennie, Nicholas, Sounness, Ferguson, O'Neill, Strachan.

Why don't they do Lee McCulloch(sketches of him just running about elbowing *) or Keith Lasley/Jim Goodwin/Ian Black just hacking player after player.

So many * could have the pish ripped out them.

Yeah his Fergie is brilliant, he's also good at Macca and Jim Whyte, Charlie Nic, Souness etc, the problem is that he's run out of material, it's the same joke gettin played out time after time, there's only so much mileage you can get from these impressions, i'm actually amazed it's lasted as long as it has tbh.

Aye, Macca wi the burds, Nicholas making up his own wee sayings, Souness being dour, Whyte acting like he's so happy whenever he talks. Been done to death, so has Strachan making wee faces and saying "eh aye, aye".

It's obviously not as good as it was but I still find it relatively entertaining. Those beating on about how it's been awful for years, you're not forced to watch it you know.....

Some things the eyes see cannot be undone.

This was one of those things.

Although they could rip the pish out of the huns/sevco , a lot more, they'd need to go some to beat the gorilla playing the drum.:icon_mrgreen:

The huns going bust, Craig Whyte, McCoist, Neil Lennon, the Scottish referendum- they've been given so much material the last few years! Be funnier if they had more balls.

Watched it again - still quite * but not that bad. Johan Lamont sketches always make me laugh because she is that common. The Bono and Ed Sheeran ones I had a laugh - as of course the Wallace one (although gutted).

Spivco should have had more of the * taken out of them though - Fat Sally, Craig Whyte and his new hairdo - the * AGM TENT!! There is a wealth of material.

I would like to see STV or something commission a similar programme next new years... Give the reigns to someone fresh and compare the quality between the 2 episodes, that will really hammer home how stale the new episodes are these days.

i laughed once at the cheery commonwealth steward turning into a beast when he was stewarding a football match.......the pat Bonner sketch was baffling.....didnt represent his voice or personality at all in my opinion......I could have done a whole show on the huns.....but then wee johnathon is a dyed in the wool blue nose and maybe led by his heart instead of his brain...........for me its had its day.
