    The sensationalism of the front pages is so * sick.

    Gonna be a lot of anger around Glasgow, hopefully channelled into a complete boycott.

    Christ! I've just seen the news. So sad at any time of year but these incidents so often happen around Christmas.

    Thoughts with all the families.

    Well most modern lorries do have cruise control but in driving about the city centre on a busy Monday afternoon it's extremely unlikely that a driver would knock it on cruise.

    No idea if this one had cc tbh as bin lorries I have driven have never had them

    Tragic, thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends of those killed and injured yesterday, also to those who witnessed the harrowing scenes.

    RIP ::shamrock:

    What can you say? The absolute unthinkable has happened and I'm truly sorry about the loss of life especially at this time of year. How do the families that lost loved ones ever come back from this......

    As for the driver, how does he ever recover from this? I hope he males a full recovery but he'll never be the same.

    * tragic.

    Dont understand the sympathy for the driver to be honest.this guy could be at fault here.hearing some reports the truck was going 70mph dont know if true.i think i will wait for an investigation first before i have sympathy for the driver.the heart attack story could be a bullshit story to the police,sounds similer story to that guy that killed the two girls in glasgow not so long back who was lying about the flashbacks.

    anyway sad news,feel sorry for the families.RIP

    Nah, i think its pretty clear from all accounts, including Paul's, in here, that he was either unconscious or unable to drive as it careered up the street.

    Also, as has been said, they dont do 70, and would need a turbo to attain that speed over 200 yards.Paul reckons at least 40.

    Innocent until proven guilty, naw?

    Eyewitnesses at the scene (including Paul on here) say they saw the guy slumped at the wheel,or "bobbing about" as the vehicle was out of control.

    So, until proven otherwise I have complete sympathy for a poor * who has apparently taken ill at the wheel and ultimately will feel totally responsible for killing at least six people (women and children apparently ) and injured countless others days before Christmas.

    Sorry but you don't have a * clue, it is IMPOSSIBLE for a truck to do 70mph every truck is limited to 55 by law and even then to get to 55 in a truck in Glasgow city centre would be near Imposible. And having driven round that stretch of round multiple times in a hgv you struggle to even hit 30

    We will find out the speed anyway as the truck has a tracker fitted and it would also log the speed in the tacho head unit.

    I see the Northumbrian police are having a word with the Sunderland scumbag who laughed at the dead.
    Hope he gets his head kicked in.
    Someone posted his address up on facebook.
    There was also someone else who lives in Glasgow that joked about the deaths.
    Someone called Damo Edwards
