    I think it would be great if the reported big signing in January is a striker and a household name.. Keane has played for Strachan before Im sure at Coventry but as mentioned by others , wages and a high transfer fee are a stumbling block..
    Is it possible that a player in Keane's position (having already made a fortune) could engineer a move out of England on the cheap to go to the club of his choice (obviously being Celtic)..

    Probably we'll end up going down the same route that saw us sign Jarosik and Gravesen. Players that looked good at times but were surplus to requirements at their clubs..

    I know the link with Maloney is something that could still happen but another name I'd throw into the mix is Collins John.. An out and out striker with good pace who looked a class act when he first came to the Premiership , and was Fulhams top scorer in 2005/2006..
    At 22 years old he is reasonably young for having the experience of 3 full premiership seasons under his belt..
    The only thing is , he hasn't had a look in since Laurie Sanchez became manager..

    Is this the sort of player we could pick up for around £1.5 million and see him flourish into a 20 goal a season man in the SPL ?
