There not ment to achieve anything other then being a show of solidarity with the republican movement and show they do have widespread support unlike what the mainstream media would want you to believe don't get me wrong I'm happy there "peace" in the north but the republican movement isn't dead and gone away it's bigger and stronger then ever

Shows what a perverse society Britain/uk has become when people are highlighted for not nodding along to the status quo.
Badges stuck on the chest of everyone on their tv this time of year.

    * Poppy Fascism& the poppy fascists.

not 30 years ago, it was a days remembrance by a respectful credible minority, and that could have been genuinely argued was about the conscripts of WW2 & the millions of victims of a Germanic crime family infight that obscenity named WW1.

Do you really think the muppets on reality tv with their dimante poppy ever give a second thought to victims of any war!
This perverse 21st century charade is ironically more about silencing protest of illegal wars after WOMD Blair spin.
    With us or against us.
Invented by most perverse new labour.

Britain is one sick little nation when it persuades/ embarrass people to not only agree but wear the t shirt.

Meanwhile scores of poor shytes on low incomes and veteran of WW2 will die alone this winter from the cold and the poppy BS will not have cared less.

How ironic it is that it is the very sort of simplistic nationalistic BS that * Germany encouraged its ignorant masses to just agree with.

Theres should never be minutes silences for anything at football. Mad to think we pay for tickets to go and be silenced for hings wi nothing to do with football.

Any inside football rememberances should be done with applauding players who played for the team.

Minute silences are a lot of *, when they happen all you do is stand like a * thinking "whens this pish gonny end", if * want to stand about moping then they should do it in their own time.

It is hypocritical, you're right. Although it's no more hypocritical than the Celtic fans who say 'Keep politics out of football' when Remembrance Day comes round then cry foul when the authorities try to stop them singing political songs at Celtic Park.

    Can't have it both ways.

    Yes they were.

'Pro IRA chants' did thunder round our ground in the past.

You are trying to rewrite history here.

The stadium was rocking to Go on home British soldiers at times and the vast majority were belting the rebs out in Celtic park before the MON era. Anyone that says otherwise wasn't there or is a liar.

To be honest I'm fed up to the back teeth of every game some * silence, applause or orchestrated clap on a certain minute, throw into the bargain constant anti racism PR exercises before games and I could go on and on, it's way out of hand now and irrespective of whether I support the causes or reasons it's all become too much, this years Poppy thing has taken things to new lengths judging by games I've seen on TV this weekend

All this lining up, shaking hands and all that as well for about 10 minutes can get to * as well, what is wrong with running on the pitch at 2 minutes to 3 like they used to, warm up then kick off
