I have suffered for years had to stop drinking the fear is just bad anxiety, It happened me after binges of maybe 10 to 14 pints, I would do this maybe once a month and the fear would last maybe 4 days with * all sleep. It eventually * me up, I would stop drinking if you are getting it bad and regularly. It will get worse.

Get it every so often. Usually after a heavy night on it with folk I don't normally drink with, such as work mates.

    * dread going in to work the day after a session on it and not knowing what's went down.

I feel better, but I had other issues, drink was just part of my problem, I havnt lost mates , I just dont go out on the * with them, I am nearly 35 a lot of my mates have slowed down kids had their own alcohol issues etc, so not that big of an issue for me now. I miss the big sessions but I dont miss the insomnia and the bad anxiety.

I don't know if I've experienced the fear before. Certainly not as a routine after drinking. I mean, I've woken up and felt scared about what I texted the night before but it's never been a symptom of the fear.

I just wake up after a session and feel depressed and constantly on the verge of tears these days. Great craic.

I get it all the time, more inclined to think its a mental problem right enough and not a hangover. I constantly swear at myself the day after drinking when I think of stuff from the night before ha. On edge all day, soon forgotten the next time I'm drinking tho

Would get a dose of the fear after a session on drugs. Not so much on drink these days.

2 Valium and 8 Co-codamol as soon as you wake up, Then munch down a fry up, Sorted.:50: Double up on the valium and codeine if the fears ten times worse than usual.:icon_mrgreen:

Horrible, horrible, horrible. Feeling like a non-human and that as if eye contact with someone could be the beginning of the end. Then trying to make sense of the * you done whilst pished only adds to the anxiety you already feel. Promise yourself that's it your aff it, but before you know it your waking up feeling that dread had confusion all over again.

been there mate.not a nice experiance.

usauly after a 3-4 day bender when im lying in my bed it night im * scared to go to sleep.just before im about to fall a sleep I start panicking, teeth clenching, heart racing and start getting very frightening visual hallucinations,it got that bad that I was keeping my lights on when going to sleep as the hallucinations weren't as strong for some reason with the lights on.i still don't know what it is but I think its the dts.i cant really explain it any other way.

calmed down a bit so not had it in a while but went through a 4 year period where I was caning it and it would happen after every bender.

always have valium about, for me anyway it prevents the hallucinations and takes the fear away.and gets you a good sleep.another method is the day your coming off a bender have like 4 cans or something wane your self off it slowly.
