Jim O Brien How do you rate him???

Lads havent seen Jim O Brien for The Hoops but seen him the other night for Ireland 21's and albiet Ireland were beaten i was impressed by him on the right wing even though the right full that played behind him was very poor..

He has alot of skill and pace plus can whip in a lovely cross now i might be jumping the gun having only see him play 90 mins but he looks a serious player..

Have many of yous seen him play for The Hoops reserves or 21's and is he as good as i think or was it just luck???

Was a bit of a standout in the reserves last season but Du Wei looked great in the reserves too .. he wasn't great at the Pars though...An old fashioned winger going past players and hitting the byline..pacy * too.. very one-sided and not too many tricks..
One of those who might make it but ye wouldn't be surprised if he didn't

Suppose a bit similar man.Not as two-footed as Smith was and mebbes not as quick.Smith was awful with us though to be fair he was never a right wing back...Aberdeen was about his level i reckon..
Maybe Strachan could take him aside and work with like he did with Maloney and McGeady..Seems to have a good attitude not like Smith..

If Caldwell is fit then i think he will play at RB but i wouldnt mind seeing what O'Brien could do, he done well when he came on against Gretna

Never thought I'd hear myself pray that Caldwell is fit. We need to cut McCulloch's presence in the air out, coming in from wide position.

Hes reasonable but nothing special. Think he will end up playing for Aberdeen or some similar level. I will be seriously amazed if he is played at right back ahead of the centre halves we have that we could stick there in an emergenecy.

I agree, it would be suicidal imo to put him in at full back. Caldwell's not the best right back, but I'm hoping he's fit to play there tomorrow.
