Amazing how a 22 year old can do all of the above, plus he seems to electrify the dressing room too,you can just see the swagger our players have when he's playing.
The kid is a breath of fresh air that I hope continues, and as I said before,if not lets just enjoy while it lasts.

I think it was refreshing to see him walk up and dictate to Stokes and Van Dijk that he was simply taking the free kick's last night.

They seem to respect his ability and just stepped aside.

Was good to see the end product :icon_mrgreen:

"Celtic manager Ronny Deila believes on-loan striker John Guidetti is prepared to give up the possibility of more lucrative employment elsewhere in order to sign a permanent deal with the Scottish champions should Manchester City not offer the Swede a new contract beyond next summer. (The Scotsman)"

There is debate about what we may need to pay man city in compensation/fee, but it wouldn't be too much that would be unrealistic. The biggest thing should be his wage demands, but what he is on today is well within our means, and if he has a stormer of a season and wants a bigger wage, he is worth giving that little bit more. Matching brown as the top earner is acceptable I think for us and for him. He is sensible enough to understand our financial situation and is passionate enough about the club and wanting to play for us/fans and be adored. That seems more important to him than a 60k wage packet. Not to say he wouldn't be tempted by a bigger wage packet at a team who could give him similar.

So in that respect he won't make us break the bank, but we better not * foot around with him, trying to offer peanuts and scraping a hundred quid off if here and there. Just get it done.

It's always amazing how having one quality player can make a REAL difference.

Absolute masterstroke by Deila in signing Guidetti.
