CELTIC are set to make a £1million loss on flop striker Stefan Scepovic after it emerged Getafe are obliged to make his loan deal permanent.

The Serb, who scored just six goals in 26 games following his £2.3m switch from Gijon last summer, has returned to La Liga for the rest of the season.

And Getafe president Angel Torres has revealed his club will pay £1.3m next summer to make the move permanent.

Scepovic vows he’ll come good at his new club and said: “I don’t feel pressure to be a success. I can deal with it and will do my talking on the pitch

    Pukki mk2 then?

Sounds like her couldn't take the big fish in small pond mentality here.

Honestly under different circumstances I feel they could have been good players for us never mind:54:

It is very difficult to know if a player from a smaller club or who is used to being a bit part player is going to have the winning mentality required to play for us. This is the hardest part of scouting by far. I think we made a major mistake with Gudetti. He had everything we needed and I fear we will not get the striker we need for a very long time. Sammy is available for free though and he has been a massive loss.

Don't think he was ever a lone striker he would have prolly been next griffiths or something but Ronny is the most stubborn manager in the world and won't change formation

I hope the above post suggesting that a fee has already been agreed is true. Considering how badly things have gone for him at Celtic 1.3m is pretty decent. Thats more then we got back for Pukki and at least he had a few flashes.

Serious questions need to be asked of our scouting department... In particular. Whoever it is that scouts forwards..

Serious questions.. Then a swift issue of a p45!

    Horrific record

comparing pukki to this guy is really not fair, pukki worked hard and scored some goals and when he didnt, he at least created space for other players to run into or play through

Nae idea of a word that commentator said but I'd still rather listen to him than Michael Owen.

    I agree :56:

Even the commentator says "Stefan Scepovic on loan from Celtic has been very invisible during the whole match"

That was my biggest issue with him. He never seemed to actually get involved in the play very much. Was always quiet

Well.....3 that score goals would be enough aye.

But one gets goals...one might get goals and the other..well enough said.

This, as passive a footballer as I've seen in my time as a Celtic fan.

We've had plenty of *, a lot of which refused to hide. If he wasn't on the end of things in the box he did literally nothing.

Ironically (and weirdly) apart from a 60 yard attempt at goal :56:
