I think that if you look at the "story" you will see that he actually says that he has still to return from holiday and have talks with Celtic. It appears that he is only looking to be treated like the rest of the management team and no-one at Celtic has given any cause to think that it will not happen.

He's not even come back to Scotland yet, this is a complete non-story.

Although in future Johann, 'no comment' is the correct response to these cretins.

Murray always had the media wrapped round his little finger, and while not being involved in the daily running of the club, I think there's no doubt he still influences that...

 

I love the way they say he was paid a nominal salary last season, still prob 3 or 4k a week. its a nothing story though, he'll sign, big things happening here and he wants to be associated with it.

I posted on here in Non media rumours that the board only wanted to keep 3 of lennons backroom team.

It was only a matter of time before the tabloids got wind of the fact that Johan has indeed only been working for a nominal wage, I dont really get the ins and outs of it to be honest but the the crux of it seems to be pension contributions.

Cant blame the guy for feeling a bit disgruntled given the contribution he has made to the club since returning.

 

I don't claim to have any inside information on his pay last year, but I cannot imagine for one minute that he was working for the figure suggested here. I don't believe that any full time staff at Celtic on the playing side, will be earning as little as that.

 

I'll be concerned when something other than the Daily Hun reports it.

Ok sorry that read wrong, I havent seen his wage slips but I do know that the amount he and other backroom staff have to contribute to their pensions is astronomical and their take home pay when you take account of their inexperience is not anywhere as high as you would imagine
