So I'm currently at work, but I've only worked here for about a week and I don't know anyone that well. The thing is though that it's also my birthday today and I'm pretty sure that no one knows it. I'm unsure if I should slip my birthday into conversation or if I should just let it be. I've never been one for demanding attention, but it might get a bit weird if they find out it was my birthday like a few days after and asks why I didn't say anything. :smiley-laughing002: So would you say it would be okay to point it out to them?:56:

Go to the shop and get a few cakes and sh*t - Mr Kipling or such like - and send an e-mail out saying it's yer birthday, and there's wee cakes for everyone to have with a cuppa or such like. Nice ice breaker if you've just started in the place IMO.

It's the same with Secret Santa in the office - i'm always one of the nice guys. Not like an ex-colleague who picked the name of some lassie, and bought for her a "rape kit" of handcuffs, gaffa tape, and a bottle of water he had re-badged "rohypnol." Then stayed silent as the whole office was dumbstruck in horror and the girl in question started bubbling!!!:smiley-laughing002:

    Me? I'm a considerate soul.

As I said, I'm far from an attention seeker. Just think it might get akward later if I don't say anything. :smiley-laughing002:

Ahh who cares its your birthday! You could always ask if anyone wanted a couple of drinks after work to celebrate your b-day.

Bring two bottles of - what so ever - to your work place tomorrow and have them drink a glass each.

After all it's your birthday, the one day out of 365.
