Unconditionals are great. I had next to no pressure on me in 6th year as I had three unconditional offers.

Back when I started uni the entry requirement for my course was four B's though. Now it's 4 A's.

    What? :smiley-laughing002:

Tbf though.... I was actually looking through old exam papers the other day, it's actually seems quite doable to get A1's in a lot of subject. I got 405 myself without really trying too hard, I'm sure I could have got another 100 or so at least if I'd tried a little harder. In saying that I don't think I would have ever stayed indoors studying almost all day throughout that time period.

I'm not sure what he got in each exam but the highest you can get is 625. In higher level exams it's
    A1- 100 points
    A2- 90
    B1- 85
    B2- 80
    B3- 75
    C1- 70
    C2- 65
    and so on until D3

    Then Ordinary level subjects are
    A1- 60
    A2- 50
    B1 - 45
    And so on

You usually do 7 subjects and marked out of your best 6 and you get a bonus 25 points if you pass Higher Level Maths.

So he probably got close to all A's. Could literally have picked any course/college he wanted with those points. He's not even that naturally intelligent or anything just worked his * off.

I got 390 myself, never studied a day in my life up, other than nights before exams, until 6th year then for that year sort of got my act together. I regret not working a bit harder in 5th year, probably could have pushed myself to do higher maths and would have made life easier for myself in sixth year. Then again I don't really care because I probably would have ended up doing the same course I'm doing now.
