Celtic kept the ball long spells but but couldn't make use of it and produce as many attacks as I hoped. Deila mentioned it after the match, too.

 

I cannot understand why some of our so called fans are after only one pre-season game are deciding that Commons who scored more than 50% goals than are number two goal scorer should be sold . Commons doesn't have to be a hard working centre midfielder or a left or right sided midfielder . To me and I am sure Ronnie will be flexible enough in his team set -up to have room for a player who freguently gets into the dangerous areas of the pitch to score and create goals .
At least let the season get well underway before we dump our best player of last season . If I didn't know better I would think that , the posters who talk about him not been here , I would think they followed some of our rivals .

 

You have to remember the guy is 31 this month and Ronny likes much younger players in his squad, especially in areas you have to have some pace about you.

I think it's time we have to start planning for life without Commons at Celtic and I don't see him getting offered a new contract before the end of the season. Harsh but the same happened to Sammy. We won't keep guys above 30 who will be on £22K a week or so which he is rumoured to be on.

 

Finnybhoy has a problem with Commons today clearly forgetting he was player of the year last season and saved our arses on a number of occasions in the league, Commons is still part of Ronny's plans he is a goal scorer

 

Yeah your right mate without Commons we would have lost the league.

Ronny doesn't want a team full of youngsters you need the older heads around them as well the likes of Brown, Efe, Commons, Stokes
Commons still has 2-3 years left in him he will stay next season and score at least 20 goals

 

Commons won't be played anywhere near as much as last season imo, was horrific yesterday as well so wouldn't have made a great first impression on Ronny. All I'm saying is mate this is most likely his last season.

 

It was the 1st game of pre-season who cares if he made an impact you can guarantee when the 1st leg of the CL game comes around Commons will be one of the 1st names on the teamsheet
