    Excellent post.

We are as spineless and gutless a squad since Barnes.

The thought of going into the champions league qualifiers with him at the helm puts shivers down my spine.

If we had been managed effectively over the last few years we'd be lightyears ahead of Sevco. Sadly we've seen a catalogue of errors throughout the club and that isn't the case.

    Absolutely scunnered at the moment.

That Barnes team had more guts than Tony Mowbray's, so has this team.

Doesn't mean it's good enough though.

Time to go for me. He is still persisting on playing Ambrose, and I said after the Fenerbahce game that it is guys like Ambrose who will get him the sack. Well he still hasn't learned his lesson. Yesterday is completely unacceptable, and the blame lies with Deila in my opinion. I've defended him often enough, but I feel his time is up now.

The annoying thing is we could easily skelp the sheep now... We're that unpredictable just now...

We ARE light years ahead of Sevco, but a Ferrari sitting in your drive without petrol in it is useless... We've got real talent in that team but they can't/won't perform consistently.

Listen, EVERY team loses from time to time and even the best teams collectively play * on occasion. But ive never seen a team where noone rises to the challenge like ours. If we get in front we're usually ok, but if anyone puts it to us we rattle. We desperately need Broonie back... and after that we need to find someone else who's able to deputise for when he's out...

There is no case for the defence now. They won't sack him while we're still ahead in the league and if we beat the Sheep, that extends the gap and then we're odds on for 4IAR. In the summer, whether we're brave enough at board level to accept that the manager's job hasn't worked out for Deila and give someone the chance to build something new - remains to be seen. For me though, if I was the board, I'd have one (* it - both eyes) on Europe later this year (CL qualifiers) and he (Deila) is a European failure specialist.

Unless he's sacked over the coming days I despair. I really do. Uninterested in the rest of the season now aside from if we beat Aberdeen or not.

Of course what must he said is: it's not because we * the treble dream that I want him to go. I've wanted him gone for ages. No knee * from me. And I've been public about it. We need a manager with an ability to improve European performance, desperately.

Doesn't matter what anyone says as we are still on for 10IAR, all your arguments are invalid.

I expected the gap to be bigger I must say. I get that Champions league shouldn't be seen as a given, but to miss out on that 2 years in a row (Especially the Maribor game after a reprieve) and the 10s of millions of £s is farcical.

Agree on your latter points, I was saying exactly that at the game yesterday. Such timid, mentally weak players who refuse to/can't roll their sleeves up when the going gets touch.

He has made a real mess of this squad. Too many cooks spoiling the broth in midfield, nobody getting a run of games except Armstrong and Johansen who have both been very poor all season . As for the others like Mcgregor , Rogic , Allan , Forrest , GMS , Commons - none are sure of their place in the team , can not get a run of games going ,are dropped/rested/rotated constantly and have no stability .Too many players and with Henderson , Christie , Nesbitt, Roberts and Stokesy added in there next season you are talking about 11-12 players vying for 3 positions .

The centre back situation is an utter shambles . Ambrose , Boyata , Simunovic - that just isn't good enough at any level . Absolutely no leadership back there and there is no organisation at the back . Full backs going with runners while the CB's step up trying to play offside. Woeful marking at corners , sloppy mistakes . No wonder we concede so many goals. It's schoolboy stuff.

Formation wise he is far too stubborn and honestly doesn't have the players to play 4-2-3-1 . Armstrong on the wing most of the season with zero pace , zero skill and cant cross. That formation needs width ( proper wingers) and a CAM that is going to get into the box and offer a goal threat - the only time that happens is when Commons plays there but that is far too rare.

I have no idea where we go from here .

Great summary though depressing to read.

Even the most ardent of Deila fans can surely no longer justify this shambles?

It's at the point where you could be forgiven for thinking they are plants by the club, or fans of another club, that's how crazy it is, either that or they should expect the men in white uniforms at their door any time now.
