I've got two tickets to Garth Brooks in Croke Park, tempted to sell them on. However will not set a price on them, might ebay them and then let stupid * bid on the ticket, then it is their own fault for driving up the ticket price. Plus the majority of people that go to these kinds of concerts are just going to say they have been and could barely * name 5 songs, so * them in my opinion.

These companies use specialized software and automated bots to buy almost limitless amounts of tickets within minutes.

Top touts will have empty offices full of modems and all sorts. *.

Surprised more people don't do this. From what I'm reading in here it seems like easy money.

There are plenty that do it, I know of someone getting 12 tickets for a concert, and then when asked about it said she had a large family. Within an hour she had them on sale on facebook 4 for £400 or something along them lines. So was probably selling the whole lot in 3 batches of 4, while pretending to be going with her family herself. Me on the other hand had got them out of good will for my sister who then could not go and I am stranded with them now, also with there being something like 4 or 5 concerts of the * meaning that 400,000 tickets have been sold. It could prove a hard enough task to get rid of them, however there is probably some stupid * out there going to look the tickets because they "love" Garth Brooks, yet could not sing one of his songs, except for callin baton rouge.

Why would somebody pretend to be a Garth Brooks fan?

I would have thought even his hardcore fans would want to keep quiet about it. :smiley-laughing002:

I'm going to start doing this - I have spare time in work so I'd imagine I'd be able to get to the front couple of rows if I'm fast enough.

    Any tips on upcoming concerts?

I find it odd that people are quite happy to sell tickets for gigs at inflated prices because 'if people are stupid enough;;;;' etc etc, but I'm pretty sure if I was trying to sell my CL packages somewhere at a rip off price people would be-quite rightly-calling me a *.

    Let the people sing,
Paolo Nutini tickets went on sale for the Barrowlands last week and no paper tickets are to be issued for the gig and entry is capable only by presenting the debit card used to purchase them and identification that matches the name on the card. They never did this for the other gigs on his tour, safe to say the tickets sold out within minutes and as usual the resale websites such as StubHub, getmein etc had resales up immediately... for all but the barrowlands gig - appears the only measure i have seen to stop the touts but not convenient for people who want to buy for friends/family etc.

It's not survival of the fittest, it's big corporate machines, milking every last drop they can.

The " original " touts were the bane of my life. Until the "official" touts got on board. Your ticketmasters of this world. Setting up a sister company to do what the " originals " have been doing since time began. If I can't get a ticket now for whatever show I want I take my chances and buy from the street rather then ticketmaster. Not only do they rip the * out of it on the value of the ticket, but they then slap on that extortionate " booking fee and postage "

As a " fan " we don't half get our trousers pulled down for a royal *. One wish on my list would be to see the arena / stadium * empty at one of these shows to finally hit home to the * that enough is enough. And this goes out to Fifa and all other organisations.

Sadly that is one wish I can't see happening.

But what if it is to something * that is very much not proper music, just some wee twats miming, or some slag that may be fit but miming like * also?

My attitude to these people is they deserve to get ripped off for their * taste in music, and falling for the mass commericialisation of half talented buffoons

Just because they like simple music means they should get ripped off?

I listen to absolute brain damage industrial metal (amongst other things) and most would find that * music too.
Don't get me wrong I slag * out of mates I know that listen to commercialised drivel but doesn't mean they should get ripped off. They get ripped off enough

    Exactly mate.
    ....and again, exactly!
Ridiculous thing to say.So, all these kids who adore their idols because their tastes havent developed or matured, deserve to go without? Those with well off Daddies just pay the tout price, and those who dont, or have to save up, dont get to go.......and you think they "deserve to get ripped off" because of their tastes??? Really mate?

Down in Manchester for the European game under strachan seen guys hanging about old Trafford all day and where asking for tickets In our end to every passer by I don't know how much they where willing to pay but it was clear they where touts and wouldn't suprise me if they had a good bit of cash on them to At the very least tempt people to sell there's because they where clearly looking for as many just to punt them for higher

I guess it's risky business of this is the case imagine him offering a guy 100 quid only to not sell it for his asking price
