Decent league. Much better than ours, not as good as the top 4/5. Full of South Americans though, so that probably up's the quality a bit.

    As others have asked, why?:smiley-laughing002:

I really can't believe that, of all the things that appear to be wrong with our team/management, some on here want to slate the guy who has kept us going with his goals.....unbelievable really....what would we have done without him ?

We've proved that we haven't signed anyone lately that can come near his goal tally so why rip into Griff and his perceived poor example of being the complete striker.....if he was to have all that's asked of him by some....he wouldn't be playing for Celtic !!!!

Still works tirelessly though, which gets him credit even when he's off his game.

For the record, I think most strikers would have struggled playing almost 80mins on their own on the big pitch at Hampdone against a team of *.

I thought he had chucked it to be honest long time ago, even before the penalty.

Forgot he was on, needs to stay right up, was never in the box enough.

Whilst he was poor Johansen was the one chasing their goalie and defenders down.

I've never faulted his effort, you couldn't..

He was running the channel's and when he had the ball, no * was in the box. I know that's not entirely his fault but it was daft. Some of his touches bouncing up off him when all he had to do was let it run in the box and strike. The penalty had no real conviction. Just a poor day..

Griffiths is arguably our best striker of the last 5 years. He is on course to beat both Hooper and Commons season goal tally. And already smashed any total Stokes amassed over a season.

We can't expect him to carry us through and score every game. Absurd that people have jumped on his back already. Guidetti was given more leeway after far more games not scoring or playing well

It is strange how people go after strikers sometimes mate

I go on an Everton Forum sometimes and a few in there were getting stuck into Lukaku. He's been keeping them afloat all season

Griffiths goals have been hugely important. He's pulling his weight this season, unlike others

We better pray he doesn't get injured or we will lose the league. I can't imagine how bad we would be without him.

He was * poor tonight. So what he scored with the last kick of the ball. I don't know what he was doing for the second goal either..

I made up a song about him a while ago to demonstrate the point you have just made.

'The Leigh Griffiths appreciation song' to the tune of "if it wisnae fur yer wellies"

"If it wisnae fur leigh Griffiths,
    where wud we be?
we'd be second in the league,
but we're no; thanks to leigh"

Nae * seems to like it though. :smiley-laughing002:

He's honestly not very good, Stevie May would do the exact same job as him for us if not better. He can score all he wants in this league he has not quality and no football brain.

Indeed. Marking the boy tight as *, "look how strong I am", corner gets whipped in then he stands off him.

Fantastic goal , has to be said . I actually thought he peeled out wide and found space quite well at times .

Him and CKR in a 4-4-2 would be the short term answer and get us over the line this season .

I don't think he's an amazing player either but we'd be in second place if he wasn't in the team. That's how * we currently are.

    Another dreadful performance.

Kazim-Richards did more in half the time, in terms of keeping the ball and linking the play.

I've said it before and I'll keep saying it, he's just not very good. If he isn't scoring he offers absolutely nothing. We need better.

Im not sure what people expect...the guy is stood at one end of a potato field and we spend 70 mins trying super punts...90% of those go to sheep players...and those that don't our single striker gets swamped before the rest of our lightning fast super extra fit team come walking up the pitch.

At one point we couldnt even get the * ball to the out side of their box from the halfway line.

Its a utter * shambles and it was only a matter of time before griff went off the boil and it stopped hiding the cracks.
