    Celtic interested in Đuričić

    Celtic will try in the coming days to hire Filip Đuričić, admitting, in Scotland that they can move forward with a formal proposal to Benfica worth £6 million (approximately 7.3 million€) by the end of month.

    The 21 year old is an old flame of the champions of Scotland, who have followed the career of the Serbian international for a long time. Đuričić has impressed observers from Celtic since playing for Heerenveen - the Scots continued to follow the career of Serbia at the [Estádio da] Luz, understanding now that his under use by Benfica can open a window of opportunity for the transfer to take place.

    Đuričić was hired in the summer for 6 million€ by Benfica, but early on it was realized that the adaptation to the Luz would not be easy. The Serbian international was seen as a number 10 and declared himself ready to replace Pablo Aimar, but Jorge Jesus believes that the player is a nine.

    Having played as the holder on the first day in the game against Gil Vicente and scored a goal against Anderlecht in the Champions League, Đuričić has had few opportunities since. In the last 11 games, he has only been used twice, once against Gil Vicente (28 minutes) for the Portuguese Cup, and another against Leixões (owner and author of a goal) for the League Cup.
