Was just in the bank...

There was a woman greeting her eyes out because she got her 13 YEAR OLD KID a credit card for Christmas and he's done what any other 13 year old would and ran up incredible debt.
Must have been great and easy to have stupid parents.

 

What a * twonk. I wouldn't trust myself with a credit card, let alone a child.

 

Stupid cow should have got one with a small limit on it.

 

If they put him up for adoption they could maybe get away with not paying it.It's his responsibility,little thief.

If she if that * stupid what hope is there for the kids to have some sense and not spend spend spend.
Thought you had to be over 18 to have a credit card.

Credit Cards should be made illegal, it's on par with people buying drugs on tic, only with interest

By the sounds of it I'm lucky I've been rejected and am unable to bank with anyone the last 5 years

 

I'm 22 and I've had a credit card since I was about 18. Never had any problems and can always pay it every month.

The only reason I have it is to buy stuff online, using a credit card gives you an extra bit of security when buying stuff online etc, because you don't actually give the person you are buying things from the money, your credit card company does.

So if I buy something and it doesn't arrive/it's not what I wanted, I just tell the credit card company I'm not paying for it and it's up to them to sort it out.

This woman should have at least taught her son how to handle money before she gave him the credit card.

 

I use a debit card and it sure sounds way handier to use, also is there not interest on your purchases so you are actually paying more for something than you would if you used a debit card?

Something I am going to look into is a pay-as-you debit card or whatever it is called. Where you top up the debit card just like a pay as you go phone, far less chance of having money stole from your account etc. So I would imagine, also helps secure against over spending, also no interest on the purchases.

Actually interest is only charged if you don't pay off what you have spent in one period.

My dad uses credit card but always pays off what he has spent within a month, thereby no interest charges.

He asked for my card details to get his x live account on got told to * off and I bought him a 12 month one with code

His mobile phone is capped as well so if he uses his monthly allowance he's pumped

When I was about 22 I had a credit card with a 10 grand limit on it
I think I had it up to about 5k then cut it up and payed it off

These days cash only in my house or credit union for big purchases

And as said I use my debit card when paying for holidays ect incase the firm goes * up

 

Not really, they are extremely useful and if people are stupid enough to spend money they don't have then its their fault for being so cretinous.

 

When the revolution comes, credit cards will be the first thing to be dumped.
