I assume you have never took a blow from a cricket ball, i will say it is coming at you twice as hard as a hurling ball does, if you take a cricket ball to the body and can laugh about it after, i will commend you, monsieur.

No it doesn't, someone throwing the ball and hitting it with a hurley stick in an open field at the same elevation. Which would go the furthest due to the force applied to it? You get more force from hitting something with a bat than you do from throwing it, it is simple physics. There is more accuracy with throwing, however if you were to stand the same distance away from each and let the ball hit you, the hit from using a hurl would be more painful. There was never any real danger there, he was well protected, how many people have died playing cricket due to the force that they had been hit with the ball? Cricket is also a posh * sport to where I am from, I don't know of anyone that plays it. I would have to travel to the likes of Hillsborough, Dromore, Lisburn to find some posh twats that play it :smiley-laughing002:

    You sir.... disgust me! :smiley-laughing002:

Have you played it before though, that is the question?
As in schools never played it for PE, only gaelic, soccer, international rules. Cricket is the posh * sport, come down to south Armagh and talk about cricket people will think you're either a brit or some rich boy :smiley-laughing002:

My ma got me a bat when I was about 13 for christmas. There used to be about 6 of us played it at the bottom of the street using the green box as a wicket. Great craic. Took such abuse from passers by right enough!

Never played it properly though. Just a bit of fun. Watch it all the time. None of that limited over *, proper test match cricket is excellent.

Playing a * brit sport on the falls road, you're lucky it was only abuse you got, could have easily got kneecapped for that! :smiley-laughing002:
I find the sport mundane, I have only watched it once at like 4am drunk :56:
Do you eat cucumber sandwiches, brie cheese and crackers and caviare while watching it? :56:

You don't like T20? Tests will always be the pinnacle but the show that is the IPL is always good to watch. Always impressive to watch Chris Gayle, 175 not out off 65 balls and a century reached in just 30 balls :88:
