Now that we are back scintilating life in the SLPFP or whatever the * it's called it this year.

Who would you throw straight into first team football and who would you replace?

Should we? Can we ? I would, * it.

There are surely some 'first team' players that could do with seeing their place handed to a youth for a few weeks.

I know * hee haw about the youth players (well I know them, but I don't follow them in terms of form etc...).

Dundee Utd are doing very well some of their lads....where are ours?

I would be all for integrating our youth into the team in the league, absolutely.

Fisher looks more than capable of performing at SPFL level so he'll get decent game time. I'd like to see Atajic start at some point and for Rogic to live up to the hype.

Obviously young Fischer springs to mind for me, he's a no brainer, hard right enough as Lustig is beasting it this year....but who else?

Aye, I would like to see a lot more of them given a chance. These last couple of seasons would have been perfect for giving them a go instead of signing other players just to make up numbers. Want to see some of Atajic, give McGeouch a decent run in the no.10 role behind the attack. I liked the look of Lindsay in that youth game on Tuesday as well

Atajic for Pukki, Rogic or even McGeouch to play at the top of a diamond in midfield. We played quite well against Ross Co with that formation.

No reason why one or two can't start every week to see if they are up to the task of first team football.

I wouldn't like to see wholesale changes though.

If Dundee Utd can produce players like Gauld who is tearing teams a new one.....why the * can't we? I understand he might be a bit of a rare freak find but still.....with our youth system/scouting etc.... do we have anyone to get excited about?

We probably could, but it doesn't do us any good to have "youngsters" sitting in out under 21's team without first team experience (talking one or more game) at the age of 20/21.

    * throw the young bhoys into games in the league and give them a chance.

Would be nice to see McGeouch in his natural position for once.

Also Callum McGregor is back in January, even if he's going back out on loan I'd like to see him get at least 2 starts in January before he goes back out.

If Ledley is going in the summer we may as well sell him in January, same with Samaras. Don't want them to leave but I'd rather build for next season ASAP.

If they're good enough, they deserve a chance.

My old man told me tonight that Martin O'Neill once said Celtic having an academy was a waste of money and I can't say I disagree with that. How many millions go in to the academy that produces next to * all?

Our squad is too big for a start.

If you're a centre half coming through, you have Mulgrew, Van Dijk, Ambrose, Lustig, Mouyokolo all in front of you.

If you're a striker you have Balde, Stokes, Samaras, Pukki all in front of you.

If you're a central midfielder you have Biton, Brown, Mulgrew, Ledley, Kayal and probably Ambrose if it came down to it, all in front of you.

It's so difficult to even get a chance. I think our backup should be youngsters. I know it's a risk but we're in a position where we can afford to give youth players a chance.

Completely agree. How are they expected to progress when they never get a chance ahead of players who are bought to make up the numbers. Something that really annoys me

I'd bring Watt back as well and play him

Would be good to see some of the youth players get more chances but I doubt we'll see much of them sadly. We're in a good position to give the youth players more game time but we've not taken advantage of it so far.

We don't have to play a team full of them. Just give a few of them a proper chance to show what they can do. We are in a position where we can afford to do so
