Funny story (when i look back),

Went for an interview for an apprenticeship when i was 16 (a firm that was notorious for not hiring Catholics and was rotten to the core with funny handshakers)

    Q. I see you are a left footer?

    A. (Thinking he was talking about some company football team, cause i was naive as *) Nah, i'm a keeper :smiley-laughing002:

Sorry mate but I just refuse to believe that as many fans are bigoted as it is being suggested. I don't think the fact that it was Ireland and not another country matters at all.

That doesn't change the fact that, that happened. I've been in the stands at Motherwell, Falkirk, Hearts, Aberdeen, Kilmarnock etc and heard the * * * raining down on him.

Lennon has been brilliant for me so far..

He used to get stick for his rants and outbursts but I like them,90% of the time he was spot on and even today again he was running toward the linesman for that * decision that cost us 2 points.

I like the way he speaks, very intelligently..
I like the way he cares and loves the club..

I hope he's here for a very long time to come..

Fantastic manager and a fantastic man.

If only there were more men like Neil Lennon.... if that was the case, the world would be a much better place.

Ok, somewhat over the top, but none the less, I don't think he should change anything about his personality it's what makes him who he is.

This is still going on everywhere. That's why we have to militant and vocal about it, instead of pretending it doesn't exist.

Anti Irish racism will never be addressed, because the invisible Irish are cast to the side and their existence is denied, racism is more than about your skin color. the largest ethnic group in Scotland is demonized and any expression of Irish identity is sectarianized, this attitude is ingrained in Scottish society, we seen it at away grounds where they booed the players you mentioned above. We heard it in the media with the attitude towards McGeady.

Our manager is a credit to the club and when he wins 10 in a row it will be the sweetest feeling ever and it will be the zombies biggest fear, they tried to force him out but he will never be deafeated, * bless Neil Lennon.

I think you're wrong there. All the Celtic and Hibs players waved show Racism and Sectarianism cards about before the game so it is obviously well in hand.

Voted "I like him, but he goes over the top sometimes"

In general he's done enough (and even more!) to warrant appreciation of fans, but even then everybody liked him from the start knew that they were getting Celtic man on board.

My problem with him is stuff like having a dig at Green Brigade for their spelling after Udinese game. He's one of the most supported and loved manager in the game, GB have especially been supportive of him (putting the SPL trophy in front of their section and so on) and he goes on to say that. Respect and support is mutual, that was one of disappointing moments for me.

But overall he's got fans behind him at all times, he deserves that.

Good post. I didn't vote as there wasn't a 95%of the time I love him but I was disappointed about the comments after the Udinese game option.
