They're absolutely meaningless. You can get one for tying your * shoes. :smiley-laughing002:

And I'll echo that Murray's a fud (not for accepting the award, I just don't like him).

Agreed. They'll be giving them out for winning Big Brother shortly.

I think he deserves some sort of recognition.

Aye true mate, I'd never heard of him until today. :87:

I might be able to respect these awards if they ignored the celebs and just gave them to the folk that wouldn't really receive any attention otherwise. The wee woman that's been a lollipop lady at her local Primary School for 50 years and so on.

As it stands they mainly seem to just hand them out to whatever celeb's made the most money that year. As if actors and sports stars didn't have tv stations, magazines, governing bodies and whatever throwing awards at them left right and centre.

I heard that the English tennis people gave him a 'Random' drugs test just before it and he was nearly late because of that.
Probably trying to disgrace a Scot, bunch of muppets.
Wouldnt have happened to tim the * henman

Really suprised not to see certain buzzwords in this thread, using the previous Andy Murray threads as a reference :56:

Such as but not limited to : butchers apron, traitor, Anglo, anglo-Saxon, Anglo-Saxon Warmachine, Lizzy's minion, is it cold in henman's shadow etc etc

Most deserved, I'd respect him a bit more though if he didn't accept it

yeah folk have been given a Knighthood for less. wouldn't be surprised if Henman gets one before Murray does. must admit though I didn't think Murray would go for that but he seems to have struck up a friendly relationship with the young royals. I think young folk just want to be young folk and all this tradition and succession crap gets in the way of normal life.
