    Plenty :56:

    He hasn't....

The tabloid media aren't even worth mentioning but the more grown up outlets are of the opinion that if he were to wait until March 2018 and had the agreement between the 'Home Nations' been scrapped he could indeed play for England. I also believe that has been confirmed by official sources.

Interesting, haven't read that. As I said that's the only possibility for him to play for England but I still think it's a pretty remote possibility. And it would be incredibly desperate of England to ask him to wait 5 years and change their own rules for him.

When could Kosovo realistically compete in a qualification cycle for a major competition? If Janužaj is holding out for them? (Doubt that he is, though.)

I don't Adnan Januzaj wants to play for England.... I'm pretty sure Albania is his preferred choice, alternatively Belgium for competitiveness reasoning.

Not sure where all this England talk came out of.

Just a day before he declined the Belgium call-up some English media members as well as Moyes commented on the fact that he could be eligible. They didn't realize it was because he was considering Albania and didn't want to make the decision as a 17-year old. Fair enough to him. Just a(nother) case of the English media putting 2 and 2 together and getting 5.

    Hopefully never.

They're slowly getting there, FIFA allowed them to play friendlies now. I don't think it's yet decided whether they'll play in Euro 2016 qualifiers, although wouldn't be surprised if they got full membership soon and then participated in Russia WC qualifiers.

The only resistance comes from Serbian FA, though it all ends up in postponing meetings and decisions while gradually giving them more and more rights. Russia recently refused to give entry to the country to St. Gallen player because he had passport of Kosovo, but essentially it makes very little difference.

Januzaj's parents may play a role in his decision as well, so Albania seems like most likely choice considering that he repeatedly refused to play for Belgium.

It was a part of Serbia, not Albania. Most Kosovars are ethnically Albanian.

I think most Kosovars want Kosovo to unite with Albania. But it was definitely a part of Serbia.
